3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from Bob’s.
Pours a rich maize with a full white head that leaves extensive lacing along the sides of my tulip glass. In addition to pine, the nose presents a range of fruit: pineapple, lemon, and uncommonly, a powerful hit of strawberry. Juicy flavor, grapefruit and lemon, restrained cracker malts. Plenty drinkable.
It’s hard to knock it out of the park with a straight-ahead IPA these days -- too much competition out there -- but this is just the kind I like, juicy and aromatic, tropical fruit, not an overwhelming bitter oil finish, malts that know their place. A really nice offering for my first taste of 10 barrel.

3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Aroma is kind of stinky! It kind of smells like old socks along with faint grapefruit and vegetal offnotes. Pours hazy cantaloupe with a long-sustaining white head that leaves lace. Taste is not as bad as the aroma, but it’s a really basic IPA profile. Weird.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
From the 650 ml. bottle. The pour is golden amber with a lingering foamy white head that leaves plenty of lacing on the glass. The aroma is of floral and grassy hops, resin, and even some pear. The body is medium. The taste is well hopped up with a kind of butterscotch flavor going on. A nice Northwestern "hops galore" beer to drink.

Pours a hazy copper orange with a white head and aroma of hops, citrus, and grapefruit. Bittersweet taste up front, sweet malty caramel with bitter hops, citrus, pine, and grapefruit leading to a bitter, dry finish. Nice, tasty IPA

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Light amber body. Frothy, off-white head. Aroma of orange, citrus, caramel and toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Bitterness waits until the finish to fully kick in. Gives you time to taste orange juice, grapefruit rind, citrus, toasted grain. Clean. Thanks wnoble.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It’s toasted straw with a broken sheet of light, loose white foam. I could smell this when I cracked it open - mangoes initially, then grapefruit, sweetened malts, resin, some pineapple. Taste is resin, bitter, sweet malts, lemon peel, and some more pineapple. Medium on simply syrup with a lower carb and semi dry finish. Nice beer, a little cloying like so many IPAs these days.
