COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Northwest American-Style IPA. The color comes through as a deep gold with orange hues. Fruity and citrusy hop aroma shines, with hints of pine resin. The four hop flavor dominates, re-enforcing the aroma with more citrus, fruity and piney notes. The malt character is clean and smooth with a unique toasted flavor (thanks to the generous helping of Victory malt), all held together by a firm bitterness. Apocalypse has a medium-bodied mouth feel, finishing crisp and dry. All of this results in a very drinkable IPA. HOPS: Horizon, Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade Bu: 65 ABV: 6.5% Malt: 2-row Pale, Victory, Crystal

I liked this beer, but it wasn’t as crazy wicked hoppy as I was perhaps expecting. Definitely a golden orange beer with a fluffy head. The aroma is piney and some citrus as are the flavor.

rmussman (1378) - California, USA - JUL 14, 2010
Sampled in a 22oz bottle. Pours deep brownish orange. A true IPA. Full of strong hops and soft malts. They really run out the flavor. Served this very cold but the aroma and hops really showed out of it. Great brew.

crackedmachine (295) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 17, 2010
Pours hazy amber with a thin-medium beige head. The aroma is full of piny hops. The flavor follows that aroma, with plenty of pine resin, and a uniquely toasted malt foundation. Refreshing. Really nicely balanced.

DuffMan (4418) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 15, 2010
Sampled ( draught) at the SpringBeerFest in Portland. Bright brassy gold with a dense white cap. Citrus rind aroma, hints of spice. Hops deliver more herbal character in the palate, but there’s citrus and resin too. Interesting in a good way.

cathcacr (620) - Oregon, USA - MAR 28, 2010
Aroma of I2PA quality, very resiny in aroma, flavor and mouthfeel. Good 1-finger head in a 14.9 conical. Can’t think of anything creative to say about this beer as I am not all hopped up on goofballs at the moment. Long story short: the thing that stands out here is the resin character.

Peppery floral earthy hop nose, hint of tea leaf. Amber golden pour thin head but lasting, nice sticky lace. Earthy leafy and peppery bitterness, a little resinous, malt bill is bready with hints of tea. Earthy decently bitter ipa. Drinks well.

Bottle at Woodshop 5.0 (2/20/10): Pours a transparent bright golden with a small ring of white bubbles. Has a fresh grapefruity piny nose with some lightly sweet pale malts. Starts with good fullness and grassy herbal hop bitterness before a smooth bittersweet crisp finish. A well balanced and very drinkable IPA.
