3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from PD. Slightly hazy pour with a medium, brief white head leaving minimal lace. Nose is floral and citrus with a touch of pine, but balanced - the medium malt is readily apparent. Nose gets a bit boozy as it warms. Medium body; light, fine carbonation. Pine, caramel and nuts, citrus, wood and bread. Finish is medium, slightly bitter, a fair amount of woody umami and quite dry. Less hop-forward than many IPAs and also has more umami than many - almost as if oak-aged. I like their ISA better.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice fluffy and lasting head. Sharp and citrusy hops dominate. Not a terrible amount of malt. A slight diacetyl note creeps up on some finished sips. Smooth and interesting. I would like to try again.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Elizabeth Station, Bellingham, WA, 6.8% ABV
Golden color, with eggwhite-like head. Mild but nice hop aroma, quite fresh, some resins, citrus fruits, fresh wood. Good malt and toffee flavor, with a nice lemony touch from the hop; quite strong bitterness, with final piney resins.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bomber. Pours a clear pale gold with medium white head. Aroma of citrus and piney hops. Taste is of piney and fruity hops well-balanced with bready malts. Great IPA in my book, not too bitter, but still tons of flavor. A surprise find at my corner convenience store!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A clean, sturdy wcipa. Citrus, pine on the nose, well rounded hop flavours on the tongue, balnced by a clean biscuit body. Fruity. Decent finish. A tad non descript, but a very drinkable beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from Belmont Station in Portland, OR. Pours a hazed, pale golden-yellow colored body with a finger-width, dense and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is pretty solid. Pineapple and other citruses with a good amount of florals and a light pine resin. A few tropical fruits and apricots with a light sugary note as well as a lightly sweetened caramel malt backing with hints of bread. Flavor is similar. Pineapples and tropical fruits up front with lots of florals and a few sweeter, resiny pines. Lightly sweetened, somewhat bready caramels with a few apricot notes before this finishes dry, fruity, moderately bitter, and lightly sweetened. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid IPA. Lots of fruity hops with a lightly sweetened malt backing and a nice, balanced bitterness. Good beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A comparison sample from the bartender to help me measure Hop Lava and RPM. Another Eastern Oregon great IPA. Solid and strong without a Stone-Ian overdose of hops.
