A Northwest American-Style IPA. The color comes through as a deep gold with orange hues. Fruity and citrusy hop aroma shines, with hints of pine resin. The four hop flavor dominates, re-enforcing the aroma with more citrus, fruity and piney notes. The malt character is clean and smooth with a unique toasted flavor (thanks to the generous helping of Victory malt), all held together by a firm bitterness. Apocalypse has a medium-bodied mouth feel, finishing crisp and dry. All of this results in a very drinkable IPA.

Hops: Horizon, Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade
Malt: 2-row Pale, Victory, Crystal

Part of the seasonal 12-pack that is on shelves around the valley... Poured into my little CC goblet.. the brew is slightly hop hazed orange.. only okay retention with a good head. Nose is good citrus zest... slight caramel malt.. maybe some pine in there. Pithy citrus... tangerine? and some piney hops... sorta oily and yummy... a touch too much malt for my liking, but it is a minor bitch.. Nicely balanced PNW IPA... I dig it overall, but it could stand to be a touch drier on the palate.

Bottle-thanks to the guys from Dark Tranquillity for this very fine IPA! they gave me a bunch of beers they had at the end of their US tour before they went to Mexico-this one was included! Pours bright orange with a small soapy white head ans some whispy lacing. nose is huge floral notes- the C hops really shine here-a very good blend of hops. Floral, somewhat catty, grapefruit, maybe even some white wine notes in there. very pungent almost astringent. Flavors follow suit-very catty, lots of grapefruit, citrus rind and a hint of cheese. This is a very nice ipa that i would like to pick up more of sometime. Solid and somewhat under-rated.

Bottle from Fred Meyer. Light brown/golden in color. Nice pungent hop nose, with a bit of sweetness. Good citrus character with a decent amount of maltiness. A little watery in the back end, but pretty good all in all.

Somewhere in Vermont: Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is citrus, sugar, a bit of resin. Taste is moderately bitter with nice amount of cotrus tinge. Retty good.

This beer smells really, really good when you crack open a bottle. On top of that, it’s a quick, easy drink that goes down remarkably smooth. It has light, citrus-y tinges which help make it an enjoyable drink to savor. The only knock against it, I’d say, is that it’s always a bit hard to finish; as in, once it settles at the bottom, the remainder is a bit sharp. Overall, though, it’s a really fantastic drink, something I’d easily recommend. Here’s hoping the Anheuser-Busch buyout doesn’t affect the quality of the brew!

A very nice Ipa, well balanced and not too bitter. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with a thin white head. Smells of hops, citrus and a bit of fruit. Taste is quite sweety upfront, lots of Clementine and tropical fruit, balanced Werth with a bit of hops in the finish. Finish is not bitter. Paired with leek and mushroom croquettes, brings out the hops in the background. Had in the bottle.

I have some friends who really love this beer. I’m not a big IPA drinker but this is okay. Can’t palate more than one. Sad they sold out to InBev.
