22. Pours a murky rubied dark ebony with a dense and creamy tan head that fades. Tiny bit of barnyard on the nose. Balsamic, cherries, and strawberries as well. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Cherry, strawberry, and balsamic mid palate. Very nice, and, for the price, fully incredible. Long mild snack cherry finish.

As cherry tart. Nice fruit forward sour - not a standout in style per se, buy pretty pleasant all around. Oaky, vinous and a nice sweet sour interplay.

On tap at Boise brewery. Definitely sour, wouldn’t be surprised if they used sour cherries. Dark Ruby pour, sour winelike aroma, cherries in the taste somewhere, but mostly dominated by the yeast.

Light reddish dark amber pour with an off white head. Cherry and slight sour nose. Nice cherry sour with a complex malt finish. Pretty good.

Hazy brownish red pour with a slight tan head. Dark fruit, cherry and some wood in the nose. Taste is interesting, somewhat sour but certainly not a ton of sourness. Fruity and oaky. Nice.

On tap @ 10 Barrel. Amber in color with a thin khaki head. A little bit of buttery pie crust along with some cherry pie filling. Kool Aid mix, some mild vinegar, and a hint of lemon. There isn’t a whole lot I like about the aroma or the flavor, unfortunately. Overly sweet tasting. Tons of cherry candy and pie filling. Mild sourness, some oak, and a bit of grass. Maybe even a bit of caramel.

On draft at the Portland brewpub as part of the RBSG. Pours a reddish brown with an off-white head. Good lancing. Nose is cherry funk. Medium minus body with a tart mouthfeel. Almost like cough syrup. Flavor is sour cherry and funk is there first sip to the last. This is decent and drinkable, but a small amount is plenty.

On tap at 10 Barrel, pours a cloudy dark reddish brown with tart cherries and Belgian yeast. Flavour is very tart, with sour cherries, some medicinal cough syrup notes, and Belgian yeast. Not overly pleasant, with the tart syrupy medicinal notes, but not a disaster. Okay.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy brown with small white head. The aroma is cherry skin, funk, wood. Thin mouth, light tartness, black cherry, bready malt, crushable, very good.

Bottle. Nose if fruit flesh, plum like, grapy with a touch of mustiness and wood. Some vanilla as it warms, Pour is dark red with a small off white head. Taste is a bit aggressive in sourness at first with a weird roasted malt bitterness and coffee flavor. As I drink it, the slight coffee flavor keeps detracting me from an otherwise, very pleasant sour. I thought initially it was too sour, but that is not the case at all, it is a touch too astringent and tannin. overall, ok, but seems to lack a malt backbone to support the sourness.
