Murky brown, I’d have figured to LOVE the aroma given the hops used, but it was a tad under the wheat IPAs awesome nose. The flavor, however, was a great mix. A blast of citrus and spice followed by nicely roasted malts. Semi sweet and bitter. Well done."

Bottle dark redish brown pour with a full and dense light tan head. Surprisingly fresh up-front hop aroma for the appearance of a brown ale. Woody earthy flavors, some light roast, nearing CDA flavors. Hop flavor is showcased but soft and earthy here as well. Interesting. Nice body. Satisfying

Bottle:   Dark caramel, bit of a deep red hue, moderate frothy tannish head, fairly nice lacing.   Soft toasted malt nose, slight hop, citrusy.   Nice smooth background, pale toasted malt, touch of caramel, with a very mild hop presense.   Not bitter, again seems more like a Pale Ale similar to #2.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, albeit its a bit thicker than #2.   A little bit of a citrus rind/pith finish, touch of sweet tea leaves.   I liked this one better than #2.

Hard to rate this. Great beer. Definite brown ale-ness but the aftertaste is more like an IPA than a brown ale. It's really like a mix between a Newcastle brown and a normal IPA. Great change up for sure. But difficult to rate. What can you compare this too? It's a dark brown, with a thick frothy head. But it doesn't come off too heavy ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Brown beer with a tan head. Grapefruit and summer fruit aroma with pine. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light tropical fruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light tropical fruit.

Light mahogany hued brown body. Toasted bread malt backbone with nut and toasted grain flavors. Bright floral hop presence with ripe citrus notes.

Bottle: Murky sewer brown color with an offwhite head and significant sticky lacing toward the top. Aroma of wheat, light hops, sourdough bread, soy sauce and grapefruit. Flavors are enjoyable - not too harsh, but a well balanced hop and malt structure that obviously favors the hops. Cardboard, a little dark chocolate, dirt, and some typical hoppy characteristics in the flavor. The finish is chalky and something akin to a malt shake. Extra point for uniqueness without straying too far from the style.

Another awesome bottle thanks to Toby’s goodness! Pours a dark copper color with a medium beige head. A sweet nose of citrus and brown malt. The flavor is very good: coffee, toffee, some toasted malts, rich citrus and low bitterness. Very quaffable and tasty.
