Bomber from Portland grocery. Amber pour with off white head. Hoppy nose and initial taste with the extra edge that the rye brings...very tasty

Bottle. Dark amber pour with thin head. Ringed lacing. Aroma floral with a note of cheese? Good flavour. Some rye bread toast bits. Long lasting finish

Bomber from trade with michaelinwa. Pours a slightly cloudy orange-amber color with a big frothy head that quickly fades. Leaves lots of lacing. Big fruity aroma but not the normal kind of fruit you get from an IPA. This smells like apricots mostly but also getting mandarin oranges, tropical fruit and rye bread. Taste is big on apricots up front and becomes more complexly fruity through the finish. Big rye spice hit in the finish along with lots of tropical fruit and a moderate bitterness. Body is thin but a nice oily mouthfeel. This is delicious stuff. If there was just a bit more body this would be top notch.

Bottle pours an amber beer with an off white top. Scent is fruit and rye. Taste follows with the rye on the front and back.

22. Pours a lightly hazy burnished dark amber with bronzed highlights. Dense creamy tan head that falls away, leaving heavy sudsy film. Lots of drippy lace. Bright intense aromatics, lots of pine, grapefruit, and sparkling peppery rye. Great combination. Creamy medium body with average carb. Caramel, pine, grapefruit, and peppery rye on the mid palate. Fairly clean and light finish. Very nice stuff.

Nice, hopppy, strong alcohol flavor. Well worth the pint bottle if you can find it.

Bottle: Cloudy copper color with not much head. Solid hop aroma with toasty accents of pine needles and I suppose rye. Musty hop flavor with a dry grainy aftertaste and a little hairspray. Thick and full bodied. Pretty tasty!

Bottle. Pours a medium golden color with reddish tint, average head, huge hop aroma with big citrus notes. Really inviting aroma. Flavor is hop forward, resinous and complex bitterness, with a relative sweet malt background and significant notes of rye. Nice complexity but true to the style. Mouthfeel is substantial and almost chewy. Finishes bitter, but not at all hard on the palate. A new favorite IPA.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2013 Pour a deep golden orange with a creamy white head. Nose is slightly musty tangerines and apricots. Thick and resiny mouth feel. Tons of rye spice and fruity hops on the palate. This is probably one of the most unique rye IPAs Ive ever had. I find the drinkability medium, but overall a joy-ryed for the style.
