COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In typical 10 Barrel style, we took a traditional American Brown, threw it through the ringer, and put our own unique twist on it. We took a standard brown malt bill and augmented with Aromatic, Marris Otter, Cara-Crystal wheat, flaked barley, chocolate, and special roasted malt. We then overloaded it with Cascade, Centennial, Northern Brewer, Simcoe, and Chinook hops, leading to a complex battle of pine and citrus flavor and aromatics.

Bomber poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of carmel, cocoa, toasted malt, grapefruit, lemon zest and pine. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, grapefruit, lemon zest and light cocoa with a smooth moderatly bitter lingering carmel finish.

22 oz. bottle, pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is quite hop-heavy, some toasted nuts and some roast. Flavour is a bit fruity at first, then shifts to citrus hops that then feature quite prominently, backed by some pleasant toasted malts. Very hop-heavy for a brown ale - tastes more like a very hoppy, toasted amber. Very solid.

22 oz. bottle shared by bsuedekum- thanks again, Blake! Pours a cloudy brown-amber with a small off-white head. Big Cascade hop character in the aroma, with notes of citrus and pin, toast, caramel, brown sugar, and nuts. Flavor of citrus, toast, tobacco, nuts, caramel, and pine. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a citrusy, moderately bitter mouthfeel. This isn’t a brown ale, but a black IPA/Cascadian dark ale/India brown ale, or whatever you call it.

Bottle... Poured cloudy, brown with a khaki head. Nice retention. Nose had citrus and pine. Same citrus and pine hop flavors going on with a nice toasted and nutty malt sweetness for balance. Lots of hop flavor, low on bitterness. Finished with a clean hop character.

On tap at the 10 Barrel Brewpub in Bend, Oregon. Poured a light brown amber with a big off-white head and excellent lacing rings. Nose of roasted caramel malts with some pine, floral, and citrus hops. Medium in body with a slick and clean mouthfeel. The flavor is quite complex with roasted malts, chocolate, mixed with very flavorful hops showing lots of pine and citrus. The finish is dry and lightly bitter. This is a really tasty and drinkable brown.

Bottle. Brown pour with foamy white head. Aroma is like a pale or a Cape, with piney notes. Hoppy flavour, with restraint, they could have gone for a brown IPA but they didn’t. Barley and wheat in e finish with some tartness
