COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delicately balanced Strong Ale starts with dark copper color mixed with slight reddish hues and a light tan head. Big malty aroma with a Munich character give way to a slight caramel & toffee mixed with spicy noble hop aroma, all wrapped together with a medium-bodied mouth feel. German malt flavor profile with slight roasty notes give Pray for Snow a subtle toffee sweetness balanced with spicy hop bitterness and slight alcohol warming. Served appropriately in a classic snifter.

I smell cherry prunes, fresh split wood, distant caramel. minimal off white head on reddish amber clarity. smooth & aromatic in the mouth. ctirus hops speak up among the fruit in the flavor department, dry among the sweet.

Shared with Strykzone in a joint tasting on Facebook. This poured a rich brown with a big tan head. Good lacing. Nose of roasted malts and some floral hops. Medium plus body and a smooth creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is rich roasted malts and treacle. Some bitterness in the finish show hops but mostly a malt bomb. Good and really easy to drink.

12 ounce bottle from Hayduke and we had it together via facebook chat. This poured dark brown and had a big head that took a long time to fade. A roasty and toasty aroma. The flavor brought out gobs of rich sweet malts. They resembled the aroma. Some toffee and brown sugar, maybe some of it burnt. A small hop profile and they were tasted late. The after taste was the hops and was a bit sour and bitter. Sweet is a good thing in my beer vocabulary and this was sweet. Tasty. And dangerously easy to drink.

Definitiely one of the best for winter ales. Deep copper body with plenty of caramel malt notes, spicy hop profile adds the right amount of winterness.

Deep amber with a white fluffy head and good lacing. Malty nose with hints of toffee. Very balanced and drinkable beer with a nice hop bitterness at then end. A well crafted beer.

Bottle:   Deep amber, moderate to large sudsy off-white head, nice lacing.   Soft sweaty/underarm and pithy aroma.   Odd malty start, pithy, slight sweetness, but has this cheesy/sweaty malty aspect.   Slight cereal/mealiness as well.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, albeit its fairly smooth.   Sweet finish, pithy, mealy, thankfully not as much of that sweaty aspect.   Yeah, not a big fan of this one.   Clean, but way to sweaty/cheesy.

Bottle @ Chriso. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish.

I would place this as a red ale with strong ale characteristics. Nice hop load delivered here in this amber colored brew. Get some raisin and dark malt in the aroma. But stays red ale in the end. Would love to try with their other versions.

On draught at Gubanc’s. Nutty, malty, caramely, with a really pleasing aftertaste. Great standard holiday ale.

Bottle at Chriso tasting (thanks initially to Bird) 18/11/12. Lightly hazed dark amber with a thin off white head that clears to the edges and forms a film. Mose is malts, toffee and a little spice. Tastes of toffee, malts, caramel - a little bland and muted in flavour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, smooth on the palate. Ok.
