COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delicately balanced Strong Ale starts with dark copper color mixed with slight reddish hues and a light tan head. Big malty aroma with a Munich character give way to a slight caramel & toffee mixed with spicy noble hop aroma, all wrapped together with a medium-bodied mouth feel. German malt flavor profile with slight roasty notes give Pray for Snow a subtle toffee sweetness balanced with spicy hop bitterness and slight alcohol warming. Served appropriately in a classic snifter.

6’er picked up tonight at the COOP. Tannish head sticks around for not too long.. the brew is a pretty standard deep amber. Nose shows sorta expected PNW Winter Ale notes... but done pretty well. Toasty nose and some caramel... piney and citrus hoppiness battle with the medium malt profile. Interesting piney hoppiness comes out front and quickly melts into the malts... caramel and light toffee... citrus zest hoppiness comes in on the finish.. lingers and melts with the malts... everything is surprisingly balanced.. nothing outweighs anything else... Medium boned, but seemingly high ABV for a winter warmer... A nice sipper, but the hops make me want another sip... and another. Well done across the board.

Poured up on tap at AZ Strong Beer Fest 2016 where it exhibits a deep brown to amber colored body that supports a tan head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up kind of nutty, kind of a roasty malt bit and then kind of a vague slightly pine like hoppiness leading to a spicy black strap molasses note at the end of the draw. The taste delivers malt roastiness, a nutty sensation and then getting into spicy to almost pine like hops. It ends with a lingering dry roasted nuttiness. As it warms the spicy to pine hops and nuttiness grow.

Bottle poured a hazy brown with a lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of toffes, tobacco, cocoa and sdpice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of toffee, cocoa and spice with a smooth dry lingering cocoa finish.

Pours a reddish brown, foamy tan head. Nose is subdued for the abv: caramel, cocoa, toffee. Taste is quite bitter, both from hops and malt roast. Pleasant warming booze, more toffee. Nicely not sweet, but a little burnt tasting. Decent.

12 oz single, bottled nearly 5 months ago, purchased at the Craft Beer Cellar - Fort Collins. Deep, dark brown appearance with a fluffy, lingering tan head and patchy lacing. Aroma of chocolate, caramel malt, toffee, roasted grain and light spices. Similar flavor, with more spices and a mild hop bitterness. Medium plus body with smooth, creamy feel and a bittersweet finish. Not bad.

a somewhat malty brew with some caramel and a bit of spice. tingly licorice in the malt and a touch of roastred cocoa. alcohol feels like a question. moderate to light in body it is refreshing and quenching for a winter brew. still some substance and nice looking brew dark with light mocha head.
