COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delicately balanced Strong Ale starts with dark copper color mixed with slight reddish hues and a light tan head. Big malty aroma with a Munich character give way to a slight caramel & toffee mixed with spicy noble hop aroma, all wrapped together with a medium-bodied mouth feel. German malt flavor profile with slight roasty notes give Pray for Snow a subtle toffee sweetness balanced with spicy hop bitterness and slight alcohol warming. Served appropriately in a classic snifter.

6’er picked up tonight at the COOP. Tannish head sticks around for not too long.. the brew is a pretty standard deep amber. Nose shows sorta expected PNW Winter Ale notes... but done pretty well. Toasty nose and some caramel... piney and citrus hoppiness battle with the medium malt profile. Interesting piney hoppiness comes out front and quickly melts into the malts... caramel and light toffee... citrus zest hoppiness comes in on the finish.. lingers and melts with the malts... everything is surprisingly balanced.. nothing outweighs anything else... Medium boned, but seemingly high ABV for a winter warmer... A nice sipper, but the hops make me want another sip... and another. Well done across the board.

SOLID winter warmer. Malty and complex, the hearty aroma hits you right away. Roasted malts, hints of chocolate, bread, earth. Just enough hops to provide a little balance. Seemingly a beer that would lend itself very very well to barreling."

12 oz bottle from a 10 Barrel variety pack, served in a tulip glass. A little early for a winter beer, but whatever. Pours hazy dark reddish caramel, with a medium thin lacy off-white cream colored head. Aroma is toffee and roasty caramel malt, just a bit of fragrant hops on the back. Taste is lightly sweet dark caramel malt, chewy thick roasted malt, light hop spice on the finish. Sweetness lingers throughout, but well-restrained along with the abv for a strong ale. None of the individual flavors jumps out to me, but I liked how this came together.

Bottle. Roasty caramel/brown sugar malt aroma. Clear deep chestnut with a moderate beige head. Burnt sugar, black licorice, and bitter herbal hops flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. I hate black licorice, so I realize this isn’t one of my most objective rates.

A decent seasonal ale from 10 barrel super malty and heavy in flavor. Smells malty and pours a dark red brown in color. From my beer of the moth club. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong winter ale with a very interesting flavor. Very nice malty aroma. I like the combo of the sweet toffee and slight hopiness.

Bottle. Pours a dark copper brown with light off-white head. Aroma is very rich with dark fruits, malts, and whiskey. Taste is malty and a bit sweet up front but there is a bit of bitterness in the finish. Pretty good!

Bottle as shown thanks to Alex. Pours a cloudy brown orange with small frothy white head. The aroma is oak, booze, caramel, toffee. Thin mouthfeel with bitter malt and toffee. Odd.

Hazy bronze with a solid one-finger head and modest lace. Arpomas of dark fruits - plums and raisins - with hints of roasted malt and earth. Ripe fruit up front with brown sugar, molasses and caramel with spices peeking through in the finish. Medium body, chewy mouthfeel, hearty carbonation, and a lingering dark fruit sweetness.

Bottle. Beautiful deep copper body topped by a finger-thick dense mattress that looks like heavy cream. Sticky sheets of lace. Aroma is sweet, with sugary cooked peaches and toffee. Quite full-bodied, lots of sweet toffee malt, peaches, a touch of banana, finishing with a sharp hop bite and a touch of metal. Yum.
