We craft our S1NIST0R BLACK ALE using a special German dehusked black malt that is free of astringency, giving the beer a rich black color without the traditional dark beer characteristics. You will notice subtle hints of chocolate with an easy drinking balance on the back end. In the glass the dark color may look intimidating to some, but don’t let this beer fool you. Our unique combination of malts creates a very light body and smooth finish.

Absolutely the finest beer I have ever tasted. Founded at a small convenience store in Beaverton, OR. You never know where you will find a great beer, but this one is exceptional.

Rated on 9-14-2013 at Fort Wayne, IN RateBeer gathering. This bottle beer forms a small tan head that is fully lasting, opaque dark brown body and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is dark malt, roasted and chocolate. The flavor mimics the aroma. The mouthfeel is light carbonation, water and thin. This beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, a quaffable straight-forward beer that is worth trying.

12oz from the current seasonal mixed 12-pack... Black brew with khaki head, no real lacing or retention.. All about the malts, a bit of sweetness with some light cocoa and dry toast to add complexity.. light spicy hoppiness.. a bit of fruitiness on the end that makes me think of Dr. Pepper. Okay... I’ve had this brew many times and doubt I would buy it again after giving it a proper go-around... Fizzy, with nothing interesting on the body.

Thanks Diana. This was poured into a pilsener. The appearance was a nice looking dark brown color with a closeness to black about it. A two and a half finger white foamy head dissipated within less than a minute. Clingy rings of white foaminess graces itself around the glass. The smell started off with a slight roasty combined dark fruity (mainly raisins, sweet grapes). The taste was mostly sweet and sticky adding a bit of roast (slightly chocolate and coffee). Lingering roasty to sweet fruity chocolatey aftertaste leading a to gentle semi-dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a semi-sessionable aspect about it. The carbonation was fairly mild but I considered that still to be okay. Overall, in my opinion, this was a pretty good schwarzbier, though it started off fruity, the roast did eventually show its presence.
