We craft our S1NIST0R BLACK ALE using a special German dehusked black malt that is free of astringency, giving the beer a rich black color without the traditional dark beer characteristics. You will notice subtle hints of chocolate with an easy drinking balance on the back end. In the glass the dark color may look intimidating to some, but don’t let this beer fool you. Our unique combination of malts creates a very light body and smooth finish.

Hmmmm. Confusing, as the label says. But nice in a willy wonka backwards way. Like appearance of a nice stout, good carbonation, nice head. And hits like one too, maybe cuz dark thick-tasting malt flavors. Delicious with ben n Jerry’s phish food. But then weird astringency n turns into more ale yeastiness

On tap @ 10 Barrel. Dark cola colored beer with khaki foam. Roasty and slightly floral aroma. A bit of dark fruit, some bread, and a hint of licorice. There’s a lot more sweetness on the tongue than I expected. Good roasted malt character along with a lot of bread and dough. Slight earthy and floral hops. Not bad.

Absolutely the finest beer I have ever tasted. Founded at a small convenience store in Beaverton, OR. You never know where you will find a great beer, but this one is exceptional.

Rated on 9-14-2013 at Fort Wayne, IN RateBeer gathering. This bottle beer forms a small tan head that is fully lasting, opaque dark brown body and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is dark malt, roasted and chocolate. The flavor mimics the aroma. The mouthfeel is light carbonation, water and thin. This beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, a quaffable straight-forward beer that is worth trying.
