A joint tasting with Strykzone via Facebook chat. This poured a very deep red that looks almost black with a one finger tan head. The nose is roasted malts with a hint of both smoke and chocolate. Body is full and the mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. The flavor is is almost all roasted malts with chocolate and some fruit ,and the finish is mostly chocolate. This is a very smooth and easy drinking brew with no bitterness from start to finish.

Thanks to Hayduke. We are sampling it together via Facebook chat. Appropriately named. This is almost black with some red highlights. A smallish tan head. Nose is smoke, roasted malt, and chocolate. Not a big aroma. Feel is very nice. Rich and substantial. Flavor begins with roasted malt and as it warms some dark fruit and then chocolate. A bit of applesauce. A delightful beer. Lots of flavor and low ABV which is a great combination.

Bottle via trade. Dark brown pour, little carbonation and a nice dry subtle black cherry nose. Flavor was initially some dark chocolate, malt, hops and slightly creamy and smoky on the finish. Wasn’t sure what to expect with this one, but really enjoyed it. Paired extremely well with my steak tonight.

Pours dark brown with thin head. Roasted malt in the aroma. Sweet roasted malt dominates the taste up front, then it finishes dry with minimal bitterness present. All about the roast, and it’s done pretty well. Perfectly fine session brew.
