COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We craft our S1NIST0R BLACK ALE using a special German dehusked black malt that is free of astringency, giving the beer a rich black color without the traditional dark beer characteristics. You will notice subtle hints of chocolate with an easy drinking balance on the back end. In the glass the dark color may look intimidating to some, but don’t let this beer fool you. Our unique combination of malts creates a very light body and smooth finish.

Finger of head, black colored body. Smell is roasted malt, burnt wood and chocolate with good balance. Taste has a great roast malt flavor with a little sweet bite. Fizzy texture. Moderate carbonation and medium body. Slightly sticky. A pretty good black ale.

22 oz bottle. Ports black with a finger of tan head. Malty on the nose, not very hoppy for an IPA. Tasty, but more like a porter.

Dark brown, clear, ruby highlights, beige thin head. Lots of chocolate and dome nutty notes in aroma. Flavor is grainy, with a dry baker's chocolate character, a lightly roasty finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown pour, very light tan head. I get a lot of hop character in this, but not an overly bitter presence. The roasted malt plays remarkably well with the hops. I get some cocoa, toasted bread, piney hops. All in all, this is nice stuff.

On tap at Clock Tower. Hazy dark brown with an off white top. Scent is burned malts and pine. Taste follows.

Bomber. Dark, yeasty aroma with some chocolate notes. Dark brown, translucent edges. Mild chocolate initial / mid has some licorice, but also goes a bit watery and metallic / finish is so light and blah. Thin-medium body, a bit too light and watery for the style. Flavors don’t really come out much. Like a schwarz with ale yeast.

22oz bottle in a shaker. Pours very dark brown with a lacy, light beige head. Aroma of roasted and pale malts plus a little chocolate, floral hops, and some dough-like notes. Flavor the same, with not a lot of hops for a black IPA, but a nice blend still. Average texture. Not a bad beer.

On draught at Oswego Grille. Light (for a dark ale), refreshing, malty, with small hop presence. Easy to drink.
