COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We craft our S1NIST0R BLACK ALE using a special German dehusked black malt that is free of astringency, giving the beer a rich black color without the traditional dark beer characteristics. You will notice subtle hints of chocolate with an easy drinking balance on the back end. In the glass the dark color may look intimidating to some, but don’t let this beer fool you. Our unique combination of malts creates a very light body and smooth finish.

#563 (Reggie Jackson) I’ve had this on draft at Sassy’s as well as Cassidy’s and impressed both times. Mucho strong flavor, roasty and chocolatey. Thick.

Comes out of the tap a barely translucent reddish sable with a nice pale tan head that leaves behind substantial lacing. Aroma is smoky and malty with a coffee tone and some subtle nuttiness. Smoky roast coffee flavor has nutty, caramel and toffee hints. Texture is smooth and fairly fizzy, rather pleasing.

This is a very fine beer indeed. I also sampled it at the spring beer and wine fest in Portland. It was in fact the only beer which I felt warranted second and third return visits. Shining star indeed, I can’t wait for it’s debut at belmont station next month.

I tried nearly everything at Fanno Creek Nano Brewfest, and this was one of only 3 that I would buy again. Very smooth, well balanced and mildly flavored. I plan to sit down with a full pint of it sometime soon.

Great beer on draft..this is a black ale..this is probably what Fat Tire could be. Super caramel and coffee, toast and biscuits without the flat bitterness of stouts, great spike of carbonation on mid palate, pretty crisp finish playing off the carbonation..tap is WAY better than bottle

Bottle via trade. Dark brown pour, little carbonation and a nice dry subtle black cherry nose. Flavor was initially some dark chocolate, malt, hops and slightly creamy and smoky on the finish. Wasn’t sure what to expect with this one, but really enjoyed it. Paired extremely well with my steak tonight.

A joint tasting with Strykzone via Facebook chat. This poured a very deep red that looks almost black with a one finger tan head. The nose is roasted malts with a hint of both smoke and chocolate. Body is full and the mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. The flavor is is almost all roasted malts with chocolate and some fruit ,and the finish is mostly chocolate. This is a very smooth and easy drinking brew with no bitterness from start to finish.

Bottle from Belmont Station. Pours ruby black with a 2-finger tan head. The hints of chocolate are not subtle. Medium plus body with very smooth carbonation. Flavor is very smooth dark malt with some chocolate for sure, and I am getting after notes of banana. Light, but banana. This finishes well balanced, not very bitter. It is really a tasty ale. Could be my desert island beer.
