We craft our S1NIST0R BLACK ALE using a special German dehusked black malt that is free of astringency, giving the beer a rich black color without the traditional dark beer characteristics. You will notice subtle hints of chocolate with an easy drinking balance on the back end. In the glass the dark color may look intimidating to some, but don’t let this beer fool you. Our unique combination of malts creates a very light body and smooth finish.

Bottle... Clear, very dark, crimson ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. The nose is very subtle, but I am finally able to pick up some nutty malts and dark berries. Medium-bodied with busy carbonation. The flavor is sweet and fruity with minimal bitterness. Finishes crisp, but sweet as well. Drinks a bit like a lager. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2016 Wonderful, but have to knock points of for being called the Sinistor. I?d expect it to be darker.

22oz bottle 9/11/16 (Plaid Pantry-Vancouver, WA)-42° in Lager Glass-Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Taste of the same with a bitterness and more chocolate on the back end. This medium bodied brew is darn tasty as I am not a fan of this style.

Bottle from BevMo! in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is malts, cocoa, raisins, fruited breads. Taste is malty, cocoa, bready. A pretty pleasant and accurate take on a Schwarzbier....maybe a little mild but still good.

Sample at Tap House Grill. The beer is a dark brown color with a medium foamy beige head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and coffee. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, burnt coffee, chocolate and a bit of earthy hops. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste.

Rating #1653 - #CBC2015 Beer 38 - Day 4 - On Tap at 10 Barrel w/ Ferris. Pours a dark black with a bubbly tan foam that dissipates quickly. Aroma is roast malts, earth, molasses, mild cocoa. Lighter in body, medium carbonation, has a little roasty, chocolate sweetness, and light earthy bitterness, finishes rather clean and smooth.

Flight pour on tap at the brewpub (Bend, OR). Pours a deeper darker brownish carmelized hue, mellow haziness clears up quickly with some brownish toasty edges that glow brightly. Frothy creamy almost tannish head is a nice enough mellow layer, thicker ringer laces nice enough. Aromas are a bit toasty and carmelized, earth and bitter florals, a jab of citrus and more cocoa and coffee life prevails. Interesting. Initial is medium bodied, a touch lighter really with mellow bitterness, toasty biscuits and cocoa jabs. Earth, subtle coffee and carmelized malts. A bit of cocoa and roast, earth as we smoove out into the middle and backend. Dry, toasty malts are mellow, not sweet, with some darker dry appeal throughout. Mellow enough body, some decent flavors with a real hoppy element. Toasty, a bit of cocoa and carmelized feel rues the day without being sweet or brooding. Solid stuff, pretty pour.

Pours a deep brownish black on tap with fluffy tan head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma and taste of soft chocolate and roast with a fruity yeast back end. A non dark beer drinkers introduction, nice.
