The aroma was fantastic, nice and oaky yet still crisp. The beer was a straw yellow color with a small white head. The taste did remind me of innis and gunn just like other review stated, but more sessionable. I had the beer in Barbados, so that may add to it’s appeal.

Bottle from Fakta, Islands Brygge, Copenhagen (shared with the Mrs) - clear yellow pour with thin white head. Sweet malty with some notes of corn, some grass and straw, only picking up a vague nuance of rum in the taste and aroma now that its warming up a tad, thin watery body, drying finish.

0.355 bottle.
A clear, pale gold color and a small, white head. Aroma of corn syrup, pale malts, a touch of sweet alcohol, very delicate rum, bits of vanilla. Taste is sour, malty, very corny, nothing particularly special about it - bears resemblance to the same corn-like "beer" called Desperados. A light body, a thin texture, and an average carbonation. Finish is short and just as corny. Overall the beer features nothing special, not even the promised rum flavor. The best that can be said about it, is that there are worse beers in the world.

Copenhagen 15/10 2016. 35,5 cl clear bottle from Fakta. Black and gold label with a couple of medals announcing that this is "a taste of paradise" and "matured for a smooth flavour". Pours clear yellow with white head. Settles as flimsy layer of foam. Aroma is sweet and sour at the same time. Sweet grainy malts with a hint of rum and vanilla. Something sharp and sour in the background. Medium carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is suprisingly watery. Mostly sweetness with a very light touch of rum and sugar. Only very light bitterness. Sweet aftertaste. You will get seriously dissapointed if you expect a Innis & Gunn AS this beer can’t have spent a very long time in the rum casks. But probably refreshing if you are laying around a Beach in Barbados.

Beautiful coarse foam. Pleasant aroma of hops and light malt with notes of wet wood (presumably from the barrel aging). An easy drinkable lager that tastes of malt, lime and a little straw. Barrel aging is not as pungent in taste, but it has a small fleeting touch of dark rum which gives a different delicate palate in an otherwise anonymous lager. A little lime taste towards the end gives fine counterpoint to the otherwise very discrete hops. Carbonation is gentle and it is a beer that is both thirst-quenching and easy to drink. I actually like it, but do think it will gain much by being enjoyed on a white sandy beach shaded by palm trees in its country of origin.

Clear yellow, white head. Malty, grainy aroma. Similar flavour, sweet with low bitterness. Dry-ish. Has a little spice in the finish but I detect neither rum nor barrel except perhaps for touch of wood in the aroma. Only half as crappy as expected.

33 cl bottle. Clear, golden colour with a thin, white head. Sweet aroma with pale malts and sweet, wooden notes. Taste is light sweet. Light to medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes slightly dry with pale malts and grasses. Rather straightforward Lager with some details from the Rum casks.
