2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a light gold in color with a decent head and lacing, faint aroma is metallic, mouthfeel is decent for style and is the best part about the beer, flavor is metallic and not much else, good looking in the glass so just leave it there.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Really basic stuff. +++ Sampled form a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant amber color with an enormous creamy yellow-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faintly sweetish, tangy and industrial. The flavor was tart, tangy, bitter and somewhat citric. Medium length tart, tangy and industrial finish. Medium body. It is what it is.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12oz bottle. Pours a very clear gold/orange color with a big fluffy white head. Nose of sweet malt and not much else. Decent mouthfeel. Are those hops or is it just sour? Not much to this. I doubt if it’s an ale. more like a lager. Meh.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Honey and barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with large white head and mild effervescence. Slightly sweet and light barley malt flavor. Not much body. Not much to it but non-offensive.

"Beefier" than the Genesee regular beer.
Malt and a few hops.
Creamy, with a nice body. Nice palate and finish.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Like most Genesee brews this is pathetic. Metallic aroma (even though mine was in a glass bottle). Average looking pour (piss yellow with white head that died quickly). Grassy metal flavor. No maltyness. No hops. Little aftertaste. I paid $6.49 for a 12 pack of glass bottles, and that was $6.48 too much.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Did not pour in glass drank from bottle. Had a roasty, bread, hay, smell, a bit of hops and fruit. Was a bit sweet and had a bite. Nothing super great here but then again not bad. Normal beer.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Special thanks to Big D for this one. Short stubby twist off bottle, I haven’t seen this in awhile. Medium body, corn hints of honey taste, but smooth drinkable brew. The price is right on these beers from the brewery. Overall clean, crisp, good for the beer and style. Thank again D!

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
From the retro mix pack with the stubby bottle, twist off cap, and the 1970’s era label. The presentation brings back memories by itself. It pours a good looking golden yellow with a small fizzy head. The aroma has a slight malt hint, bread, and also a hint of hops. I have not had the 12 Horse Ale in about 25 years so I do not recall how it matches up with the original. The body is thin. The taste is vaguely bitter with a crisp finale.
