12 Horse Ale is a clear, sparkling, light golden ale with no head-- just a swirl of small bubbles. It has an aroma of sweet malt and corn. It’s medium light bodied with a starchy finish. It tastes sweet and corny. There’s a rubbery, sulfurous funk to it that identifies it as a Genny. There seems to be a slight nuttiness to it. It’s funky and sweet, but I could have more than one in the ice-cold stubby format.

Tastes like a Macro. Watered Down and Little Taste. Carbonated and sour aftertaste. Must face some tough choices to pick it. Below average.

Bottle to pint. Looks fine; a transparent gold with white head and ample carbonation. Smells and tastes semi-sweet and doughy. Average on the palate. Better than I expected.

Stubby bottle pours pale straw yellow capped by white head. The thin head has staying power from the gobs of carbonation. Nose and taste are all cornmeal. Light bitterness and carbonation lead to a crisp mouthfeel. Body is a tad thin.

Aroma is sweetish grains and a hint of vanilla. The flavor is sweet malts, almost cloying and a sour twang in the finish.
