Hazy chestnut, creamy golden head. Toasted molassis nose. Fairly light body, metallic roasted notes, herbal hops. Petering off into nothingness fast.

500ml bottle from the local shop. Bottle is named Frankenwälder Bürgerbräu 1464 Flämmla, but I’ll assume is this one after looking at the reviews. Nice malty beer. Aroma is very good after it warms up, with caramel, and hints of chocolate and grain. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and average length. Palate is oily, and medium bodied. Dark red, with a frothy head.

50 cl bottle as ”Wohn Alt Nailaer Dunkel”. Rated on 01.06.2010
Red-brown colour. Aroma is typical to a dunkel with roasted malt, hints of coffee and chocolate. Flavour is sweetish with bitter, roasted malt, some cardboard and nuts. Good.

Bottle, as Frankenwälder Bürgerbräu 1464 Flämmla. Reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of dark caramel, a little chocolate and nuts. Quite watery. Taste is slightly sweet with toasty malt and chocolate before a fair bit of plain bitterness. Dry finish.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Also mein Fall ists mal nicht!

Malziger und etwas säuerlicher Geruch. Malziger Start. Trinkbares Dunkles.Test vom 8.5.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche

It’s beautiful, dark red-brown with a creamy, lasting head, and the aroma has notes of caramel, nuts and roasted malt. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, nuts, roasted malt, hints of chocolate and licorice. The finish is dry with a light bitterness. It’s a very pleasant dunkel.

Test vom 19.4.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,8,8,9,11,9 - 9,10

Strange, dusty in the flavor, dryish, yet sweet. Earthy in the flavor, with molasses, vegetable material, brown sugar, watery. Aroma is earthen, caramel, good. Totally typical color, rubyish brown, head doesn’t last but that is ok. Good but not great.

Bottled 50cl. Ordered from www.bierzwerg.de. It pours a clear ruby brown beer with a decent head. Hay, caramel, ashtray, stuffy sitting room and faint Hershey’s in the nose. Good bitterness. Not too much body. Pleasant and easy drinkable.

0.5 l bottle. Reddish brown color. The aroma and flavor is caramelly, toffeish, toasty and biscuity. Dry toasty and slightly bitter finish. Dull not so fresh taste with dull bitterness.
