Small stable head, small stable head, hazy deepish orange colour, aroma of banana and bubblegum just like a weizen with nuts and lightly toasted bread, flavour of honey and bubblegum with some fruits, mellow medium bitterness. First cream ale i tried and didn’t really know what to excpect but found this extremely interesting and quite good.

On tap @ the brewpub. The aroma has citrus, caramel, some flowers. Hazy, orange coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is light bitter, bit caramel sweet and it has citric and a little flowery hops to it. Light bodied.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 ogivlado (4444) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUN 29, 2011
Draught at the brewpub. Murky dark orange coloured, medium sized creamy off-white head, fruity nose. Yeasty, fruity and slight spicy with some odd peachy acidic finish. A bit watery but quite refreshing. All in all pretty odd cream ale.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Beerlando (3324) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUN 17, 2011
Draft at the brewpub in Vienna. The pour yields a very dense and cloudy, glowing, dark golden-orange amber body. A smooth, thin, off-white head settles to a thin ring, leaving thick bands and splotchy spots of lacing behind. The nose shows notes of flaked corn, sourdough yeast, toast, and a bit of odd citric acidity, all with a floral hop contingent. Flavors follow suit, suggesting of toast and creamed cereal, oats, and corn, all with some sharp acids and floral hop bitterness. The palate is rather light and crisp, thinned by the acidity, with a sharp, fine carbonation that tingles on the tongue quite a bit. This is an odd brew. I’ve never met a cream ale that I was truly wild for, and this one certainly didn’t change that.

Mild hellwürziger Antrunk, leicht. Mild bleibend, cremig herb, der Hopfen ist randlich präsent aber denoch stärker als die Herbe. Dennoch weiter mild, im Abgang hopfiger, mittelwürzig.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 AmicusBeer (18) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 13, 2008
Seeing a beer called a Canadian Cream Ale in Vienna was a surprise. Not too many cream ales in Canada. Definitely not the best of Canadian styles. Average at best. Little embarrassed. I hope foreigners don’t see this as the best of Canadian beers.

Pours muddy, orange amber with a medium, quite staying yellow-light-beige head. Aroma is grassy (lots of Amarillo), light sweet caramel and doughy malts. Fine creaminess, a little thin. Flavour starts watery with some butter. Dough, some apple. Super dry and bitter finish. Quite nice.
