On tap: Aroma is a little muted at first, perhaps served a tad too cold. Tarry and roasty aromas up front. Very dark reddish-brown in colour, nice beige head. Roasty and slightly earthy flavour, actually a bit bacon-like as well. Sweet maltiness (Munich?) comes through as the beer warms up. I didn’t notice too much of the lovely hop varieties used, unfortunately. The mouthfeel is creamy, but a little thin due to lack of carbonation. Nice bitter finish. Pretty good.

(draught) pours a hazy darkest ruby-brown colour with a creamy beige head. rather faint aroma of toasted malts, coffee and cinnamon, burnt toffee and dry spices. flavour is lots of burnt toffee over a toasted malt base, with a pronounced roasted-bitter finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation, quite silky.

Geiserich (2334) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - NOV 28, 2010
Draught: Aroma with acid notes, malt, chocolate and hops. Very fine creamy head. Black color. Flavor is malty with hints of sweetness and fruitiness. Fruitiness from malt but also fruity hop components followed by an intensive roastiness. Coffee and dark chocolate. Roasty, bitter finish. Dry bitter aftertaste. Nice.
