(Old BA rate - tap) Deep coppery brown color, poured with a creamy mostly white head. Good lacing throughout the sample. Biscuity malt; toffee; very mild earthy hop bitterness in the aroma. Biscuit-like malt and yeastiness of fresh bread that is a bit sweet. Solid tea-like hop bitterness, and pretty dry. Creamier, medium MF, subtle carbonation and it coats and rolls over the palate pretty well. Hugely drinkable, great flavors but nothing extreme. Great balance in every sip that brings both a solid maltiness and earthy hoppiness at the same time. Overall, I’m not sure if I would classify this as an English Brown as it reminds more of other types of English Ales. No matter the classification, I think this is an outstanding brew

Geiserich (2334) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - MAR 10, 2009
Draught at the brewpub: Hoppy, metallic aroma. Notes of yeast and malt. Nice creamy, off-white head. Redish to brown color. Fresh, light sourly fruity flavor with intensive herbal hop notes. Dry, quite bitter finish. Long dry aftertaste.

Draught at the brewpub.
Nice dark orange/amber coloured, medium sized pale tan head, flowery nose. Malty, hoppy and flowery with touch of yeast and spices. Pleasant bitterish and very aromatic finish. Once again good ale from 1516.
