Murky orange, thick frothy head. Nose is pure cascade, slightly wet socks, orange peel, mandarin, hint of pineapple. Palate is full-on orange zest, pineapple maybe, slight grapefruit bitterness, well balanced enough. Not bad at all.

On draught at the brewpub. Pours a dense dark gold color with a frothy white head. Hoppy aroma. Medium body, early hoppy flavor matched with supporting malt. Sligjtly dry, hoppy finish.
Not quite as "crisp" as the "Victory" version, but great application of hops and a nice resulting Pale Ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Beerlando (3276) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUN 17, 2011
Draft at the brewpub in Vienna. Pours a dark and hazy burnt orange amber color with a thick, frothy head of off-white foam. Steadfast, the head never fully settles, and it leaves dense swaths of patchy lacing on the glass. The nose is very hoppy, showing notes of orange, grapefruit rind, and pine over a less prominen base of caramel, toffee, and baked bread crust. Flavors largely follow suit, Falling on the hoppy, bitter side of balanced, loaded with bitter, leafy citrus and pine hops, resin clinging to the tongue. Still, it is suitably countered with bready, caramelized malts. Yeast is dry and slightly crackery. The palate is substantive yet drinkable, with balanced carbonation and a relatively crisp, drying finish. Good brew. Very similar to the original. A prototypical east coast IPA.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Koelschtrinker (6544) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 5, 2011
Mild ausklingender Hopfenton.
