On tap at 1516, Vienna, Austria. February 2014. Shared with lovely Anja, Dražen Kermit and Pero. Hazy orange, white diminishing head, leaving lacing. Heavily hopped, gummy candy, fruity and pleasant. Bitterness, getting stronger, but finishes abruptly. Full body, not to carbonated, drinkable. Good IPA, one of the best Austrian beers.

On tap @ 1516 microbrewery in Vienna. A decent US-style IPA with plenty of grapefruit and pine resin on the nose and tongue to balance out a thick robust biscuity malt base. Medium-full bodied with oily texture and average carbonation. Hazy amber appearance with a thick and lasting off-white head. You won’t find many places serving IPAs in Vienna and this just might be the best of them.

Tap. Orange color with white head. Aroma is cat piss hops, a touch of that vomit-like old hop feeling as well, some toasted malts and caramel. Grainy-bready body, a bit coffee even. Bitter dry finish. Doesn’t work out imho.

Full bodied hazy amber ale. Nose is primarily tropical fruits, especially grapefruits. Body is full, carbon moderate, texture hevier that thin. Taste is bitter. Palarte is varieties of tropical fruits, pine wood, oleoresin and dandelion milk. A really bitter aftertaste. D@BrewingCompanyPubVienna

From the tap in 1516. Very hard hopped and a strong bitterness. A very good creation of an IPA herecin Austria

Citrus, spices, malty, overall fresh, but could be more versatile in aroma department.

One of the first IPAs I have tried, and was lucky enough to get it fresh from the tap in Vienna, Austria. Hazy orange, white head. Huge grapefruit aroma, with pine hops, as well. Bitter and refreshing, delicious with pine, citrus and honey notes.

Good beer, easy drinker. Nice malty and carmel taste. 6.7% makes for a good punch. Would pare very well with steak or a chocolaty desert
