4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Amber color with an off-white head that collapses in a really strange way, creating a mountain like landscape shape. I ahve never seen that before, it’s similar to melting ice-cream. Spicy, fruity, hoppy aroma. Heavy bitterness, vinous, grapefruit in the taste. Not surprisingly, a bitter finish. Unique, characteristic. Well done.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden brew with a pure cascades aroma. Unfortunately, in my view, the beer is too heavily hopped and this makes it a bit of a difficult one to drink - beer shouldn't be hard work! Overly bitter too, and although the cascades are very prominent, they are just too heavily used for me. Very bitter and citrussy finish. (Draught at 1516, Vienna)

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at the brew pub in Vienna.
Cloudy amber with a nicotine yellowed head.
Fruity sweet aroma with dried apricot, figs, lychee, fruit purée, some pine and blackcurrant leaves.
Medium bodied, soft carb, sticky texture.
Decent IPA in the more rougher american range. Feels a bit like an Amager brew, just not as well executed.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tapped at brewery in Vienna. Hop devil no doubt! Aroma is hoppy, color light brown, completely hazy, thick creamy head. Taste is hoppy, however no west coast style, but a goog old english style IPA. Overall hoppy and very tasty!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at brewpub. A cloudy amber with a good sized frothy white head. Aromas of caramel, citrus (especially grapefruit), pine, and faint yeast. Big opening from the hops, followed by some faint malt peeking through, with lots of bitter grapefruit in the finish. Solid stuff.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A - Deep hazy amber-orange color with a good sized white, foamy, and creamy head. Good retention with a nice lacing left over.
S - Good amount of citrus and other golden fruit along with a touch of pine. This is matched almost equally with some caramel and bready malt smells. Very well balanced aroma.
T - Similar to the smell and very well balanced. Upfront there is a lot of citrus (both orange and grapefruit) along with some other golden fruit (some apple, apricot, melon, and slight peach). Then some caramel and bready malt flavors start to come out more. The flavors come together and give a sweet candied fruit taste. Toward the end, there is some pine taste that comes out. No real bitterness, and a good amount of sweetness, even though there is a good amount of the hop flavors.
M - Medium body with average carbonation. Smooth and coats the mouth and slightly drying.
D - Very good drinkability. A lot of hop flavors, and pretty well balanced (slightly more sweet/malt taste). Very tasty beer that I enjoyed drinking.
Notes: Very good IPA that is very tasty. Had it at the Känguruh Pub, and it was a very nice surprise in Wien.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy orange body, small white head. Sour and cheesy aroma, citrus, orange caramels. Strongly bitter taste: floral hops, pine, grapefruit zest, caramel malt. Too simple.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500 mL pour on tap at the brewpub on 6/4. Deep copper red/red color with a 2-finger white head. Nice citrus hop aroma. It was somewhat difficult for me to really hone in on the aroma since they were in the process of brewing a batch of beer no more than 15 feet away from my table, but the Cascade hops really came through in the nose. Lots of citrus and somewhat piney hops. Plenty of malt to back up the hop schedule made this a really top notch IPA. Went great with a cheeseburger! I can understand why this is the top rated beer in Austria.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUN 30, 2014 Draught at the brewpub. Orange, hazy body with medium, creamy, white head, that leaves some lacing. Aroma is one of the most unique I have experienced in an IPA so far, with dominant flowers, also grass, grapefruit, orange and lots of malt notes. Taste is with about the same aromas, starting sweet and citric, with a strong, dry, grapefruit like bitterness kicking in pretty soon. Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with lively carbonation and it finishes bitter, dry with grapefruit and grass notes. Although I’m a fan of more fruity IPAs, this is just an outstanding brew and a very unique IPA, that gives more room for flowery, dry and malty notes. Brilliant!
