Pours a copper brown color, medium bodied with a nice amount head and lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet and fruity with a nice hoppiness. Sweet, somewhat spicy flavors with a nice bitter hoppy bite. Finishes a bit bitter and dry. It’s by no means the strongest IPA I’ve had but it’s quite solid. If you’ve looking to be overpowered by hops you might want to look elsewhere (by no means is this one lacking) but if you want a great overall IPA then I would definitely recommend it. I purchased a single 12 oz bottle from this store for a buck and a quarter. Great deal!

Oct 4, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Appealing reddish-amber in colour with a decent white head. Aroma of pine resin, citrus hops, oranges and a touch of red fruit sweetness. Full mouth feel, with pine hop flavours coating the mouth, accompanied by caramel, red currants, grapefruit, a slight yeastiness and a powerful dry finish. The alcohol was extremely well hidden - I didn’t notice it until I woke up the following morning with a headache. Great stuff.

Jul 30, 2008 Tap @ 1516 Brewing Company, Vienna. Pours reddish/hazy amber with a nice offwhite frothy/creamy head. Aroma is fruity - grapefruit, pine and hops. Mouthfeel is soft and creamy with a flavour of hops and some caramel with a nice long aftertaste. Very nice!

Jul 16, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Clear nutbrown - offwhite head. High hoppy, abricot, grape, fruity, malty, caramel, chocolate, grassy, citrus, licorice, pine, hoppy finish. Lovely.

Pours nice hazy, deep amber with a big, staying, frothy/creamy off-white head. Suplime aroma, lots of hops, pine, grapefruit, citrus and flowers. Good caramel maltiness behind it. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has soft caramel, wonderful dryness in the finish. Truly well-balanced beer.

Jun 30, 2008 Denne version er brygget af Bill Covaleski på brewpubben 1516 i Wien, med hele humleblomster. På fad, lidt uklar ravfarvet med råhvidt tæt skum.
Dufter meget af gran og lakrids og af masser af humle. smager af lakrids og karamel og masser af humle og er bare pisse god og lækker.Lang eftersmag og god fylde. Guf, guf!
