(Old BA rate - tap)
Poured with a nice frothy, foamy white head. Hazy straw yellow/orange color. Aroma is yeasty, lemony, touch of cloves and bananas as well as a bit sour. Very much expected for the style, and goes beyond others in this dept. actually. Nice weisse characteristics all show up on time, very mild banana notes, cloves, and a good deal of tartness at the end. Really refreshing. A little creamy, smooth and almost medium in overall MF. Carbonation could have been a bit more present for style. Really refreshing, and easy to quaff. No off flavors, and a fine example of the style. No trouble here
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 d_a_goody (12) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAR 21, 2010
Wheat beer made with quinoa. Pale gold in colour and as opaque as a normal wheat beer. A pronounced sweet citrus boiled sweet flavour fades into a bready aftertaste.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 fiulijn (12360) - Malmö, DENMARK - DEC 8, 2009
Draught at the brewpub Cloudy blond color. Light spicy aroma. Dryish and spicy mouthfeel, some wheat; more biting than common Weizen, but I don’t know if it’s the quinoa.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pyobon (742) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 9, 2009
UPDATED: OCT 10, 2009 Draught @ 1516. Cloudy yellow with decent white head. The aroma was lemony with a hint of yoghurt. Medium body, well carbonated. The flavour has a refreshingly lemony start with a good measure of complex esters giving banana and yoghurt hints and with a hint of bitterness in the finish. A refreshing beer with a nice balance between complex tastes and great drinkability.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 alexanderj (3083) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - SEP 22, 2009
On tap. Hadn’t seen a beer brewed with this. Color was a cloudy, dirty gold. Aroma of sweet malt, banana and some grainy notes. Flavor of sweet with a good dose of banana. Quite tasty, with not as much grain as the aroma.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 8, 2009
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2009 My Bottom Line:
The citrusy, herbal nature of this quirky Weizen digs ditches into the typical doughy yeast and bananas esters and make it quaffable, if not curious.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A layer of foam covers the cloudy pale yellow.
-The quinoa is well integrated, but I do not see what it adds other than novelty.
-Hop bitterness is spicy, herbal and dry. Its intensity is somewhat unusual for the style, methinks.
-Carbonation is expansive, yet the body remains comfortable.
On tap at the brewpub.
