COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Balanced layers of flavor. The crisp and clean finish of Blues’ Golden Ale makes it the perfect complement to any meal. 16 Mile names this golden ale for The Delaware Blues who fought in almost every battle of the Revolutionary War. Also pictured on our label, a monument in their honor is located Outside of Legislative Hall in Dover, Delaware.

A nicely balanced blonde ale with subtle hop character to go along with a semi sweet malt bill. Finishes with a corn like sweetness.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass (bar pour) back in a Delaware seafood joint. The appearance was a decent looking hazy yellow to somewhat golden color with a light transparency allowing some carbonation to be seen rising. There was a thin white head that barely allowed any lacing once it started to die. The smell had some toasty sort of sweet corn notes. It seemed slightly grassy and herbal. The taste was basically the same. On the palate, this one sat fairly light and sessionable. Overall, I had a couple of these and ended up having it with some fried oysters and that went extremely well.

Very clear golden color, fizzy white head. Smells of simple straw. Malty simple taste, with a hint of apple?

Straw aromas, bright golden hops, and some funky malt. Accordingly, the front end of this beer is fruity and hoppy, but the finish is drying and off. Slight minerality, pepper.

Average to below. More like a beer than an ale. Golden color, not very flavorful. Wouldn’t buy again.

12oz bottle. Drank from the bottle while waiting for the ferry from Delaware back to NJ. Aroma of sweet toasted malts, light citrus, and not too much else. Mostly malts and a grain up front, and some citrus tartness in the finish.

Slightly hazy old gold color with a steady 1/2" head and swirls of lace. Taste is light sweet malt with lemon honey dry grass. Very slight hop addition in the finish is enough to balance. Easy to drink, light, quenching, just not a lot of flavor.
