COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Southern English Brown Ale. ***Voted best by regulars*** Demonstrates the robust flavors of chocolate and coffee. Muddy brown coloring and mild bittering provide a rich, smooth flavor profile; a proper reward after the harvest is over. Rich in agricultural history, the harvest is a critical part of life in Sussex County, Delaware, that spans the entire year. This beer celebrates those who feed their communities.

EithCubes (4629) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 8, 2013
Bottle. Nose strongly nutty and deeply roasty, beautiful ash and hard toast, dark chocolate. Pours deep cola with a soapy light brown head. Taste lightly sweet with little bitterness, touch of sharp tartness to begin, dries with time. Nutty, woody, deep chocolate, a little mineral color from the yeast, malt is thin and much of the roast has disappeared. Body is too full and doesn’t match well with the slight acidity.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 12/19/12

Aroma: The nose is earthy malts, roasted malts, some chocolate notes, and a little spice
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a small light brown head and light lace
Flavor: The taste is somewhat sweet, a little bit roasty, and with a mild bitterness on the finish
Palate: Medium bodied, though a hint watery, with a smooth, clean feel, and average carbonation
Overall Impression: 16 miles, what are these guys doing in NJ? I got some of their beers at State Line a few months back, and I wasn’t that impressed, but I’m open-minded, so I figured I’d give them another shot. I actually thought this one was pretty solid. It isn’t a stand-out or anything, but I can see what they were going for, and I respect the effort.

BREWMUSKCLES (2154) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 26, 2013
nice lighter body but full enough in flavors that include wheat wine and a muscatel like flavor cheerfully without that brown gravy character that seems incumbent to the style. touch of scotch peat to add an edge the brew looks nice, deep enough genuine brown with banded light brown head and an ending bitter but retreating closer to the endpoint. fruity butterscotch? nice brown drinker with a cooler warming bit of soul.
