Just had this at Bigfish restaurant in Rehoboth Delaware. Had a nice enough aroma, a good golden apperance, fresh crisp taste, was pleasing to the palate, overall a good beer. This was my first ever 16 offering. Not as good as Dogfish heads, 120, 90,60 or stout, but o so much better then the mass produced beer. 16 million miles better then Budwieser, or any of Budwiesers offerings. I’ll drink it again.

Tap @ brewery. Pours dark brown with a slight red tint and medium, creamy beige head; good retention and lacing. Aroma is caramel and toasted malt, dark fruit, toffee, nuts, and faint earth hops. Flavor is heavy malt, light hops, and average esters. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.

On tap @ the brewery-Brown pour w/a moderate tan head. Malt aroma. Some malt, some caramel, some yeast, boring examlpe of a boring style. Not much here. Short malt finish.

Pours brown with a tan head. Smells of roasty malt, earthy. Tastes of light chocolate, spicy, earthy with some peppery hints on the finish.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with an average, frothy beige head, short retention with spotty lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, cookie, toffee, nutty), light hops (woody), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of dates, plum, and brown sugar. Flavor is heavy malt (caramel, cookie, toffee, nutty), light hops (woody), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of dates, plum, and brown sugar. Medium-full body, medium warmth, carbonation, and creaminess with a smooth, sweet finish.
