COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An English-style IPA
Aromatic hops accompanied by bold flavors of citrus; crisp and refreshing from start to finish. Connecting the Indian River Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian River Inlet provides fishermen and seafarers alike coastal and off-shore adventure. When stormy weather abounds, strong currents and large swells test the skills of local surfers.

A fantastic IPA! The low rating must be due to only 44 respondents. Delightfully bitter hops balanced by rich malts, the whole package. A little high in alcohol, but not too bad. Even served in a plastic cup at the Cape May - Lewes Ferry this beer holds its own.,

A clear copper body with a white head that had nice retention. Aroma had a nice caramel malt presence up front. A nice blend of floral hops, citrus, pine and a slight bit of resin. Flavor was mildly sweet and although it was not intensely hop driven there was a decent bitterness to it and a nice floral note as well. Very easy to drink and perhaps a bit to light on the palate, but otherwise a good beer.

Taster at the brewery. Dark golden hue with off white head and good lacing... Some citrus in the nose and pine on the palate ... Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at the source, 5oz pour. Mostly clear copper color with a small orange tint. Aroma was some earthy, herbal hop notes, touch of floral notes, medium toffee malt character. Flavor was herbal malts, with some light crisp malt notes. Light and drinkable.

Clear, deep amber appearance with a medium size, off white head and decent lacing. Subdued aroma of herbal, spicy hops. Rounded taste with no sharp hoppy edges and only modest sweetness. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated mouthfeel and a lingering aftertaste.

Bottle. A slightly hazy copper pour with a thick beige head. A crisp, grainy aroma with some biscuity maltiness, caramel, pine, light citrus fruits, and zesty rinds. Goes down thin to medium-bodied. A big biscuity quality upfront taste-wise. Caramel. Grains. Minerals. Citrus fruits and zesty rinds at the end. Grassy. Bitter and dry. A nicely done English IPA.

Bottle. Copper pour with an offwhite head that turns into a thin layer quickly. Very strong citrus and pine. Some floral and metallic aroma. Strong carbonation but light body followed by a slightly bitter finish. Aroma and carbonation are overwhelming compared to the body. Better balance (more body and complexity) would be better. A very straight forward IPA.

ROGUE (2085) - Newark, Delaware, USA - AUG 8, 2013
On tap at brewery. Pours lightly hazed copper color with a thin off white head, that falls to a thin collar. Aroma of sweet caramel, with a hint of citrus and pine. Taste is more malt than hop. Lots of toffee and bready caramel with a fair amount of earthy herbal piney hop bite. Leaves a long lingering herbal earthy mineral flavor in the finish. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet resinous mouthfeel.

355 mL bottle at Finbar’s in Delaware. Lovely copper-amber colour, but very little head. Very mild aroma - you wouldn’t know this is an IPA to smell it. The flavour is better, though. Nothing really discernible, but it tastes like an IPA. Not a great IPA.
