2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured from the bottle into a narrow pint glass to drink. The beer had a copper color with a slight dark amber hue and a large foamy off-white head that had very good retention and average lacing, but very little cling. Its aroma featured a strong caramel malt component blended with some citrus hops, and lighter touches of honey, lemon, and straw. The taste had a sweet and sour caramel malt flavor with only the lightest grainy bitterness. Its body was fairly airy with lower carbonation and a thin, watery mouthfeel without much life or thickness.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Seems very malty for an APA. Pours a copper with little head. Very sweet malt on the nose. The taste is of caramel with some hops bitterness at the end. Little to low carbonation for diminished mouthfeel.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle, shared by DanielCoor. Clear amber color. Thin off-white head. Couple dots of lace. Caramel, sweaty aroma. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation. Dry finish. Moderate bitter taste. No sweetness. A lot of caramel malt in the flavor. Toasty malt, some metallic, no hop character. Tastes a little oxidized, like a year old or so or more. Wasn’t sure what to make of this... Ok english-style old ale.

Beautiful color.. golden amber with a decent head. Smells malty and overly sweet, a hint of metallic smell. Very balanced taste.. those metal notes are fairly sharp. Not bad.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle that came in a trade with vlan1. This pours hazy amber brown and has a beige head that leaves some falling lacing. This smells more malty than expected. Fruit in there, too. Sour fruit leads the flavor and I think it is the hops. The flavor is like unripe fruit. It also offers grain and vinous notes. Hops are light and offer a bit of spice with orange zest. This is mislabeled as an APA but is a fun beer to try.

Poured from bottle. Nice aroma of roasted caramel and spice. Good lookin clear mahogany with tan head. Big roasted malt flavor with caramel, citrus/grassy hops, a bit of sweetness - maybe dark honey. Earthy aftertaste. Bold, crisp feel. Well done.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at brewery. Pours a dark amber color with a two finger off white head. Aroma is quite malty with plenty of caramel, toffee and bready notes as well as toasted grains. Flavor is malt-forward with lots of caramel and toffee sweetness and a subtle floral hop presence. Finishes with a crusty bread character and more sweetness. Medium bodied with a light syrupy texture and moderate carbonation.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle as shown. Pours a clear copper with small frothy white head. The aroma is roasted malt and vanilla. Thin mouthfeel with very sweet malt and grain metallic finish. Not much going on with this one.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy dark ruby amber with an over-zealous tan head that shrinks to one finger; swirls of lace. Taste is semi-sweet butter rum that combines with a mild bittering entering the finish. At the last gasp it adds a wee bit of sour. A little heavy, but cleansing, probably best on cooler days.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Serving: bottle oddly enough at a local country club. It pours a ruddy amber with a pillowy off white head. The nose has a little caramel and toasted malt with a little citrus fruitiness. The flavor is malt forward with a little citrus, caramel, wet cardboard, and weird bitterness. Light to medium body with average carbonation. This one isn’t all that great.
