some peat and the brew is with some caramel sweetness. a low burning peat to this one. some Scotch harshness and a bit of hop. an old ale.

Bottle. Toffee malt, fruity sweet orange aroma. Clear amber with a dark ivory head. Vegetal caramel malt and dank herbal hops flavor. LIght body, soft carbonation.

Scent is caramel malt and candied orange.
Flavour is sweet and bready, caramel, with an orange-peel bitter finish.
Much nicer than the ratings currently reflect.
Tasty, clean and bright.

Bottle - pours dark red with a nice rising head...and unfortunately it’s downhill from there. Has a dank aroma and a biscuit taste. Overall malty but a very weak mouthfeel.

12 Oz. Bottle poured a dark amber with a light tan head. Aroma was mostly of caramel and perhaps some fruit. Taste is sweet, maybe a bit to sweet; mostly caramel and malts a bit of hops. Light bodied.

Bottle. Light orange malt aroma. Amber with nice light tan head. Lightly sweet orange-caramel malt and very lightly bitter orange peel flavor. Medium body. Solid and unique APA.

12oz bottle from Spirits Middletown. Poured a good looking rusty orange/brown body with an average to a touch smaller frothy light beige head. Aroma is more malt forward with old caramel, nutts and brown bread, perhaps a touch of old rotting orange slices. The body is medium with assertive carbonation that forces the body to finsh full and almost creamy but the carbonation doesn’t die down at all so I really wouldn’t call the finish creamy. Flavor has a very slight hint of pennies, along with old wet toast, wet nutt shells, caramel wax paper and a touch of citrus towrds the end.

Bottle shared by John. Dark brown with off white head. Nose and taste of barley, dried earth, oats, cocoa and orange rind. Very grainy/earthy. Lighter bodied.
