Clear light medium amber orange color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, hoppy, licorice notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100807]

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2011 500ml bottle from Middle Farm, drunk at home, 22nd Oct 2011. Slightly cloudy amber with a big white, very firm head that leaves a lot of lacing. I’m torn on the nose - has some spiciness but also some soapiness. Biscuity malt taste, medium palate.

Cask at the Eastbourne Beer Festival, 11th Oct 2008. Clear amber. Weak malt aroma and a similar taste. The added wheat is evident and makes it feel quite heavy bodied. Feel stronger than 4.2%.

Cask at GBBF 2007. A hazy amber beer with a thick off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of honey as well as a light flowery hop note. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of flowery hops and honey, leading to a dry hoppy finish.
