Cask; Seasonal - St Georges Day (April). Also available bottle conditioned.
Remember, a Patron Saint is available every day, not just on 23rd April (Yes, that is Saint George’s Day). Saint George will one day be available all year round - once we get bottling!.
Chestnut/amber brown, traditional style, full bodied English Ale.

Rated on 20110722.
Pours cloudy orange color with large head. Aroma of sour fruits, mild malts and wooden notes. Flavor of sour fruits, light berries and malts. Sour palate might have been due to slight contamination.

Bottled (from Beers Of Europe). Deep golden colour, mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is sour, some wood, mild berries, some slight floral and fruity notes as well. Flavour is rather similar. Rather sweet, but at the same time strange.

Bottle. Amber with a thin foam. Aromas are dusty hops with jammy citrus and woody, floral notes. Gentle prickly grapefruit with yeast. Flavours are weetabix malts with dry tea. Lightly fruity with lemon and grapefruit bitterness. A bit homebrew in execution, perhaps due to the bottling process.

Cask at the Eastbourne Beer Festival, 11th Oct 2008. Clear amber. Good balance, some interesting brambly hop flavours and grapefruit aromas. Solid palate.

Cask at Foy Boat, Ramsgate: Light golden yellow bitter. I would have sworn this was Incubus if blindfolded, but then that can’t be a bad thing. Similar maltiness with underlying caramel. Pretty good.

Clear light amber orange color with a average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, earth, dusty, strawberry jam, fusty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (010508)

Gravity at Reading Beer Festival 2 May 08. Golden colored. A thin layer head. Sweet fruity aroma. A bit watery impression but some sweet fruity hints in the flavor. No bitterness.

Gravity dispense, shared with Finn. Copper body under a thin, filmy layer. Inviting floral hop in aroma. The taste is a bit weaker with ripe fruits and sweet malts. Bitter notes towards the ending (Reading BF, 02.05.2008).
