Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. That’s a decent beer, some citrus. Pretty decent, nice citrus fruits. Overall a pretty decent session beer. And my last beer of a very long day. Unless of course you count the halves of P2 Imperial stout and Moor JJJ IPA I had bottled back at my hotel. Oh the hangover.

On cask (handpump) at Great British Beer Festival, day 3 on 6 August 2009. Darkish copper. Mainly malty - nutty and toffee. I know that was probably intentional but I would have preferred a more assertive hop presence - the hops are distinctly restrained and slightly earthy. A workmanlike but unspectacular bitter with a rather old fashioned feel.

At the brewery tap, with tashi, 13th April 2008. Darkish amber with a hoppy aroma. Very well balanced with a spot-on palate. A solid, very drinkable bitter.
