Nice dark amber color. Hoppy scent and fresh taste. Way better than the light colored one!
Very nice white head. sir_Pino (551), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland Aug 2, 2008 No 466

Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours reddish brown but brighter as compared to ’Dark Budweiser Budvar’, carbonation of the body is in comperation also milder, so gentle and practically almost non - existant, head is initially medium but quickly decreasing to small, frothy in texture and beige cappuccino like in colour, there is nice decent lacing and head is lasting as a thin froth till the end of the beer.
Aroma: Stronger than ’Budweiser Budvar Dark’, some vanilla sweet notes, nice grainy - malty, Plzen malt background, well percepteable and defined Saaz hops, very pleasant and smooth. Tilting towards sweetness as compred to ’Dark Budvar’ tilting towards bitterness. Some burned grains and caramel accents, suggesting dessert beer.
Flavour: Far sweeter and smoother than the previously tasted ’Dark Budvar’ but not so hoppy and dark chockolate oriented. Burned roasted barley grains, rounded and well build in notes of caramel at the background, gentle notes of coffee and chockolate, slight bitterness on palate, gentle alcoholic notes at finish but positive. Very profound grainy bisquity aftertaste spiced up with a kind of herbal - smokey nose. Finish duration is medium and the beer is very pleasant at finish, Plzen malt, Munich malt, burned malt, caramel malt and Saaz hops.
Palate: Body is light to medium, texture is wattery, carbonation on palate is mild, finish feel is lightly astringent and lightly chalky with gentle warmth on palate.
