wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 27, 2010
from old notes Fluffy white cream over a medium brown hue with red highlighting. Richly nutty and toasted with thick malted sugar; instant coffee and spruce on the side. Mildly sweet malts --light on the darker flavours-- with a gently raspy bitterness and tinge of cola. Slick and light bodied; carbonation scrubs.

Easy going and lighter than the colour and aroma belies.

50 cl bottle, best before 16 April 2009.

Maria (10187) - Thisted, DENMARK - AUG 1, 2010
It’s dark mahogany-red with a huge, creamy head. Both aroma and the sweet flavour has notes of dark syrup, malt, caramel and rye-bread. The finish is slightly bitter with a harsh hint. It’s very monotonous and quickly forgotten.

Brandman (2273) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 27, 2010
Dark brown body, white head. Little redish body. Very sweet and buttery aroma with some blanced noble hops. Flavour has also little metallic feeling. Slightly watery, but ok anyway. Surprisingly good beer.

Dark red with a solid, tanned head. Heavy on the caramel in the aroma with some faint coffee. Malty sweet, but weak, flavor with mostly caramel, but some coffee as well. A bit of a watery experience.

Kavu (2662) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 24, 2010
Pours pitch black with a light brown head. Aroma is quite basic roasted malts. Flavor is much of the same. Not too sweet, with just the right amount of bitterness. Pretty nice dark lager.

Rating #291, bottle

Mahoghany brown appearance with a medium high, medium dense, medium long lasting head. Very average. Aroma is mostly pilsener-like with some sourish malts and vague hops, but has a little toffee too. A little dissapointing aroma. Flavor is somewhat better with malts, some roasted notes, chocolate and a little caramel. However, the beer still appears average and a little boring. Body is a little watery, but the very soft feeling of the beer and the carefully subdued carbonation saves the palate. All in all, a tiny bit above average.
