12 oz. bottle poured into a snifter. Inky black without much of a head. Almost burnt roasted malt aroma. Dark chocolate. Not much barrel. Sweet taste. Caramel. Whiskey. Burnt malts. Not much lactose, more of a caramel sweetness throughout. Medium heavy. Medium carbonation. Pretty good. Not much lactose, which is good. Not much whiskey, which I miss.

Another hit with Hunter! 18th Street barrel-aged their base milk stout and the result is fantastic again! Smell, appearance and texture are all there, while the barrel plays a supporting role.
