[5/1/15] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015. 1st session. Black with a lovely brown head. Great big aroma of chocolate and vanilla and a boozy note in the finish. Full-bodied. Great.

Clear medium black brown color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark chocolate, vanilla - bourbon. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, dark chocolate, roasted, dusty, alcohol - bourbon. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20150501]

Draught at CBC 2015, yellow session, with Ken, Colin, Reuben and Alex. Opaque black beer with a nice brown head. Roasted chocolate and cocoa aroma, vanilla, caramel, some tar, soot, licorice notes. Roasted chocolate flavor, licorice, caramel, cocoa, coffee notes, woody, vanilla, some whisky notes. Very good.

CBC Yellow Session. Keg. Almost clear dark amber beer, good cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Sweetish dark malts, little dark chocolate. Touch of oaky vanilla. Mild fruity bourbon. Comes together well in to a light dry finish. Sweet and tasty.
