COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed as a salute to our brothers at Spiteful Brewing, Deal With the Devil is a beer that comes with a price: our souls. After securing a box of foolproof, sought after hops, we came up with a juicy pale ale that’s low in bitterness and huge in tropical flavors. This beer is unfiltered. Sediment may form.

Sampler pour on tap at the brewery (Gary, IN). Pours a nice hazy amber orange hue, a bit darker and dulled in the body with more friendly orange amber glow as we move out to the edges and bottom. Frothy offwhite head atop stays as a decent layer, sticks around as a filmy head with decent lacing. Aromas are bitter and soapy, firm hopping shows florals, a bit of green leafy bitterness, some soap and citrus rind. Lemon and florals, a bit of resiny pine. Touches of kiwi, guava, fruit and gentle bready malt. Initial is a good firm bitterness kicking soap, kiwi and gentle gumball. Touches of tropical fruit, bread and cereal gentle malt beneath don’t get too sweet. Middle is more mellow in body, crisper tropical fruit and gumball character with gentle soap, bitter florals. A mellow body makes this pretty crushable, gentle to decent fruity tropical fruit, touches of decent to middling soapy bitterness. Finish is a bit soapy, fruity, the body trails out lighter with gentle bitterness. Gentle soap, tropical fruit. The beer here is clearly about the hop character as the bitterness trails off a bit. Still, fruity and flavorful. Nice stuff.

shared by jtclockwork-22 bottle-thin white-gold/orange. A-orange/spice. T-orange/floral hops with some bite, med malt. Mouthfeel suffers from the hop oils and low carbonation.

On tap at three Floyd’s. Explosion of citrus. Grapefruit pineapple and mango. Huge flavor and aroma. This is a fantastic double IPA. Had this next to perm funeral and would say that they are on par with each other

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2013 Bottle shared with Jcwattsrugger. Pours amber with off white head. Nose and taste of grapefruit, tropical fruit, pineapple, hop oils, dryish orange peel and caramel malt. Taste is a little heavy on the hop oil. Medium body.

Bottle from West Lakeview liquors. My first beer from this brewery. The pour is a rusty orange color with an off-white head. This has a really nice tropical fruit aroma of mango, pineapple, and papaya. There’s just a little bit of malt mixing in. The flavor have some sticky pine to go with the previously mentioned tropical fruit in the scent. Very juicy, fruity stuff. Slick malty body that offers support but remains light. Big hop flavor but not all that bitter. It does dry out in the finish with just enough bitterness to keep things balanced nicely. Labeled a Pale Ale, drinks like an IPA. Refreshing, tasty, and the glass empties quicker than it should. Impressive.

Pours a clear, medium amber in color with a medium white head that fades quickly. The aroma is tropical and very fruity. Pineapple, mango, peach, grapefruit, and grassy hops. The taste brings out some dry hoppy bitterness, but still retains its fruitiness. There is a lot of pine to be found up front, and than moves on to those previous fruit flavors that were found in the nose. Aftertaste is a long piney grapefruit with pineapple. This one is medium in body, smooth n texture, while containing above average carbonation. Its easy to drink and pretty refreshing. This is very good. I would happily recommend it.

Really nice APA, tastes fresh and crisp. Tropical fruit assertive hops and juicy malt make it an easy drinker. Everything is there in the right proportions, one of my recent faves of this style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours hazy amber with small amount of white head. Aroma is intense tropical fruit, pretty great. Super huge amount of tropical fruit flavors, mango, citrus great hop profile. This is hop juice tot he extreme, balanced nicely by a medium caramel malt body. Great stuff, really underatted on here.

Bomber. Pours an orangey-gold, meek white head that looks like soap suds (did I wash the detergent out of this glass?) Nose is dank and peachy, passion fruit, juicy hop goodness. Mouth is dry and fruity up front, bitter with almost no detectable malt, more of that passion fruit-peach, some lemon zest with a slightly astringent soapiness towards the middle, finishes kinda ashy and slightly bitter. Decent, but coulda been better balanced.
