Aroma of orange juice, taste is more orange, grapefruit, citrus, very well balanced. Reminds me of an imperial zombie dust.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, slightly hazy dark orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of orange, lemon, slight tropical fruits, hints of sweet orange juice, slight earthy spice. Taste was a mix of sweet orange, mango, hints of sweet lemonade, touch of slight caramel, biscuit, touch of spice, finishing sweet, slightly bitter.

Draught@CBC2015 (blue session). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, toffeeish, some herbs and mild caramel as well. Flavour is similar, but has some alcohol and mildly wooden notes to it as well. Balanced, and not overly hopped.

Bomber to stemmed pokal. Pour a rich copper amber, lightly hazed, softly carbonated. Nose is simply pure citra. Clearly a citra-heavy, if not singularly, dry hop. Rich tropical pineapple and mango notes with syrupy ripe stone fruits. Flavor is the same. Basically pure citra. I’ve brewed many citra-heavy and single-hop ales, and this tastes very much like them. Syrupy, tropical, viscous, very sweet, palatable linger. I was expecting more bitterness than sweetness. Still an OK double. A little one-note for me though (albeit that may be the point of the brew).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a slightly hazy golden orange with eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; malty though. Bitter and piney hops with a big bittersweet backbone. A bit of caramel too. Tastes like it smells with a mildly boozy medium full-bodied mouthfeel. Malty and a little hot, but an enjoyable sipper nonetheless.

Bottle. Small head, deep orange into copper. Nose is malty, hints of citrus, slight pine. Medium to full bodied, slick texture, long bitter finish, quite malty. Nice, more like a barley wine.

Bottle shared in line at New Glarus. Maybe this bottle was not treated well? Old, oxidized nose and taste. Citrus is there. Murky pour.
