As awesome as the cosmos, as bitter as the void... Galaxy Slayer takes no interstellar prisoners with the help of a few good men. He leads a crusade against the total corruption of outer space. It’s cold up there, and dark. "Impose radio silence. Over."

Hazy golden orange pour with a thin white head and light lacing ... aroma of pineapple, mango, grapefruit and floral/herbalish hops definitely and interesting aroma ..... taste is of bitter citrusy hops, intense mango, grapefruit with a floral bite and light herbal notes .... dry hopped like crazy with a huge bitter lingering dry bitter bite ... floral hop lingers .... i’d drink this all day long

Bottle. Pours cloudy gold with white head. Nose and taste of fresh tropical citrus, grapefruit, sugared oranges, pine, resin, toasted malt and spruce. Finishes bitter - slightly abrasive pine/resin/sap but not enamel ripping. Medium body.

Poured from the bottle. Color is golden with a white head. Aroma is full of hops, with strong pine and lemons. Taste follows with strong pine, lemons, and booze. Agree with others that this is an assertive IPA that is a bit too much. Still very good and would recommend trying.

22 ounce bottle divided among two. Passion fruit, pine and lemons in the aroma. Orange-yellow appearance and foam that disappears in a hurry. Grass, pine, lemons, and booze in the taste. It’s a bit assertive and dagger-ish on the taste buds, which may be appropriate for a "slayer" beer. Medium to big bodied, low carbonation levels that make it seem even more hardy and filling. It got a little tough at the end to finish this bulldozer of an ipa.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2014 Rerate: I like this so much better this time... granted the bottle is older and the abrasive oniony and dank hop character has faded leaving behind a nice drinkable juicy IPA. Original rating 6/4/5/2/10 2.7 Bottle and served in snifter: Pours a clean golden hue with a nicely frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of moderate dank and cat piss, pine and resin, lemons and pink grapefruit, biscuity malt and green tea. The taste is lightly fruity and twangy with a fair amount of high alpha dankness and oniony overtones. The base malt is only a background player... everything was all good till the finish which had a heavy tea-baggy astringent character along with some metallic notes as well. Sort of took the shine off the penny. It is also quite one note and lacks much depth of palate. Some hop heads will dig this, I for one was done with it after one glass.

22oz bottle, thanks to DanielCoor for sharing. Mildly hazy golden orange color. Good thin white head. Nice loose ropes and splotches of lace. Bigger body. Awesome galaxy hop aroma, so big. Big spicy hop, tropical fruit, pineapple, pine, citrus notes. Good biscuity malt base underneath that big, assertive resiny hop. Nice super-long hoppy aftertaste. Big, hoppy, resiny bitter taste. Awesome, awesome DIPA, everything about it. The label is incredibly badass, too. Finish has a hop buzz to it, that almost numbs the tongue. Freakin’ fantastic double IPA galaxy showcase

The finish just ruins it. It tastes like tropical fruit for about five seconds and then the horrible burnt pine needle flavors come into the works. And i wish I was drinking anything else. Sorry dudes, but less bittering hops......and ......I don’t know.

Bomber. Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange, thin white head, little in the way of retention but nice lacing. Nose is dank, chock full o’ passion fruit, as well some sweet tropical fruits along for the ride. Mouth is dry, hippy bitterness sitting atop a malt back that ends with some slightly astringent tones, then a bitter fadeout. Very nice. Happy Independence Day, ya’ll!
