Good beer and old football games with Mads. Jet black with a small but lasting tan head. Aroma of coffee beans and chocolate with faint hints of ash and soy sauce. Sweet roasted flavour with a pleasant coffee character. Better balanced than the regular Hunter, I think for a change, the coffee actually helps the beer

Bottle @ Denmark-Sovjet, 1985. World Cup Mexico Qualification. Shared with Christian. Pours black with a creamy dark beige head. Lovely mocha and coffee. Smooth, vinous and slick. Coco pops, chocolate and fresh coffee. Tasty motherfucker!

Pours black with a dark brown lacing. Aroma is just coffee forward in a delicious way. Fresh fruity coffee, roasted malts, even some subtle cocoa and some lactose sweetness. Nice! Taste of coffee, roasted malts, cocoa, lactose smoothness, weak sweet liquorice and dark dried fruits. This is a well made beer that I really enjoyed!

22 oz bottle. Pour is pitch black with a nice and firm tan head. Nose is straightforward, loads of coffee and roast with some fruity notes in there. Taste pretty much follows the nose, loads of freshly ground coffee with some light acidic notes in there. Good stuff!

Pitch black, tiny alcohol legions head though. Lots of coffee nose but it’s not overwhelming, maybe actually faded, sweeter finish than expected and a lot of milk chocolate. an interesting beer but missing some complexity

Thanks to AdamJackson! 650 ml. bottle sampled @ Sanne’s birthday tasting. Oily black with no head. Nose is thick coffee roast, lots of roasted coffee. Thick lightly sweetish coffee taste, sugar, light grass, quite sweet but nowhere as thick as RIS’s tend to be, chocolate, faint roast. Med. body. Pretty decent but not with much finesse or depth.

Torrefacto (612) - Madrid, SPAIN - NOV 14, 2014
Birrote.

Bottled 650ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. 8.5% Deep black coloured, small brown head that went away fast, pure coffee nose. Heavy roasted malt, roasted coffee and dark chocolate with notes of licorice and light alcohol. Of course coffee and dark chocolate in the finish. Pairs well with Lindt Excellence 99% Cocoa.
