Here is a father’s toast to his son. Brewed with cocoa nibs and lactose, Hunter boasts a creamy texture and rich chocolate flavor. Vanilla, roast, and caramel sweetness are met with a bright hop bitterness. Complex enough to pair with dinner or dessert. Suave enough to skip the meal altogether. A chip off the old block, alright.

Aroma - oat, alcohol, chocolate, roast, and raisin. Appearance - body is black, the head is tan and around 3/4" and holds tight. Alcohol cloying that drapes suds. Taste - has a rich mix of roast, chocolate, molasses, caramel, and oat. There are some complex flavors that come across as prune and other dark fruit. Palate - full body, slick feel, average carbonation, slightly astringent finish.

courtesy of Toni - black beer without foam; roasted aroma of black chocolate, cacao and vanilla, a bit spicy; full-bodied, light oily and thick, some sweetness leading to a bitter chocolaty finish with more notes of vanilla, spicy tones and warming alcohol notes

Pour on tap at the brewery, thick black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of thick dark chocolate, lots of roast, some lactose, caramel, molasses into a bit of dark fruit, some slight cocoa notes. Taste was a mix of sweet vanilla, dark chocolate, molasses into some dark fruit, some lactose, milk chocolate, coffee notes into some roasted malt, finishing slightly sweet, slightly bitter. Pretty well done as an imperial milk stout.
