Here is a father’s toast to his son. Brewed with cocoa nibs and lactose, Hunter boasts a creamy texture and rich chocolate flavor. Vanilla, roast, and caramel sweetness are met with a bright hop bitterness. Complex enough to pair with dinner or dessert. Suave enough to skip the meal altogether. A chip off the old block, alright.

Bottle, pours black with light brown head. Light lacing. Aromas and flavor are dark chocolate, coffee, milk, and a nice malt bill. This was more balanced than the Vanilla offering. Nice warming effect in the chest.

Bottle. Pours jet black with a mocha head that rings the glass. Smells of roasted malts, chocolate, some alcohol as it warms. Tastes of chocolate, lactose, roasted malts, slight vanilla. Medium sweet. Very smooth. Creamy texture, medium+ bodied, slightly bitter and drying finish.

Milky, chocolatey, with a nice roasted malt backbone. Perfect blend in this one. Makes it super crushable. Had a draft pour at 18th street in Indiana.

On tap: The aroma consists of moderate chocolate, cream, roasted malt, light espresso, and a hint of molasses. It’s a dark brown with no transparency and a small beige head that quickly fades to a very fine ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate sweet chocolate and cream. There is some light molasses in the background. The finish has light roasted malt, light espresso, and a hint of anise. It’s medium-full bodied with soft carbonation and a somewhat creamy mouthfeel.

The bottle that Alen graciously brought to our table after the beer before (not from this brewery) turned out to be nearly undrinkable, huge thanks! Brown-black body with a small off white head. Coffee, malt & raisins in the aroma. Dry coffee notes fight with the sweetness, chocolate, raisins, liiight tanginess - but citrus-like rather than bug-caused, some citrusy hops really. A very, very nice beer indeed that aged quite graciously.

On draft at the brewery. Pitch black, foamy brown head. Aroma is a very dark malt, slightly boozy imperial. Dark dark bittersweet chocolate, straight Hershey syrup. Super roasty malt. Medium body for an imperial stout. Seems more tha 8.5%.
