Here is a father’s toast to his son. Brewed with cocoa nibs and lactose, Hunter boasts a creamy texture and rich chocolate flavor. Vanilla, roast, and caramel sweetness are met with a bright hop bitterness. Complex enough to pair with dinner or dessert. Suave enough to skip the meal altogether. A chip off the old block, alright.

Bottle shared by beerpig317. Poured dark brown color with medium tan frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium to heavy roasted chocolate, vanilla and coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a dry smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted dark chocolate, vanilla sweet flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded with a very good stout.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours pitch black with a small, creamy, well-tanned head. Good retention. The bouquet is reminiscent of chocolate crème or chocolate icing mingled with a slight pistachio element. Full-bodied and über creamy with tickling carbonation. The flavor delivers loads of sweet lactose and nearly enough mega-roastiness to balance things out. Finishes sweet and roasty with a light lingering bitterness. Thanks go out to landhoney for sharing his bottle and BBB63 for sending me a bottle of my own!

Bottle at the "Dean is a cheap bastard tasting cos he let Rene buy a beer from the shop and then asked to taste it for the tick" tasting. Thanks Chris. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized brown head. Aroma is malts, roast, some coffee. Taste malts, roasted malts, some coffee, espresso lightly, nice full bitterness. Wow, rich and full. Full body, good suitable carbonation. Very nice.
