COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here is a father’s toast to his son. Brewed with cocoa nibs and lactose, Hunter boasts a creamy texture and rich chocolate flavor. Vanilla, roast, and caramel sweetness are met with a bright hop bitterness. Complex enough to pair with dinner or dessert. Suave enough to skip the meal altogether. A chip off the old block, alright.

Drew Fox welcome to Miller Beach! It is awesome to have such a talented brewer here in NWI. Hunter is a double milk stout with 9.5 ABV. Drink two of these and your good for the whole night! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Killer label. Nice one with light peat and smoke notes, sweet caramel, lots of bitterness and lots of sweetness.

A meal in itself. Almost perfect balance of bitter chocolate and some sweetness. Black with some head, bittersweet chocolate aroma. Smooth mouthfeel. Incredibly drinkable. Fresh bottle from 20 west.

Poured from 22oz at Farmhouse Tavern. Black with tiny brownish head. Sweet oily and cocoa aroma. Milky chocolate and delicious. Upper tier milk stout. Good job - looking forward to more beers from 18th St now!

Bomber to snifter (thanks Beerpig317). Looks good; a mostly opaque dark cola with beige lacing. Smells good too; smooth, dark, and roasty. Tastes like it smells with some vanilla too, and a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Good beer!

Sampler pour on tap at the brewery (Gary, IN). Pours a nice deep dark blackish opaque hue. Dark and ominous with some decent legs, frothy light brown head atop stays as a decent ringer, laces ok. Gentle light on the edges really never makes a dent as the tar pool like deep hues are midnight hued. Aromas are cocoa and roast, gentle toffee and lactose sweetness. Touches of coffee, roast and toast are covered by some sweet toffee, caramel, and creamy vanilla/lactose play as it warms. Initial is fuller bodied, displaying nice lactose sweetness, touches of vanilla, milk chocolate, faint dark fruit wafts. Roasty malts, black malt and caramel. The middle gets creamy and silky, incorporating sweeter flavors well with a nice roast and toast counter. Lactose, coffee, and gentle ashy roast is earthy and balances well. Backend is still creamy, tapering out well with vanilla, lactose, and gentle earthy toast elements. A bit roasty, firm body still makes it envelope the palate well with it’s richer flavors without overwhelming or getting too sweet, providing good balance, rich flavors, and good lasting and lingering roast/coffee/sweet sensations together.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours pitch black with a small, creamy, well-tanned head. Good retention. The bouquet is reminiscent of chocolate crème or chocolate icing mingled with a slight pistachio element. Full-bodied and über creamy with tickling carbonation. The flavor delivers loads of sweet lactose and nearly enough mega-roastiness to balance things out. Finishes sweet and roasty with a light lingering bitterness. Thanks go out to landhoney for sharing his bottle and BBB63 for sending me a bottle of my own!

22 ounce bottle shared among 6. Roasted malt aroma, dark chocolate and mild hop presence (reminiscent of yin-yang), some fired, spicy coffee beans. Appearance is a very dark brown, bordering on black with a solid dose of brown head on top that sticks around for a while. The taste is bigger than I expected for a sweet stout: unsweetened chocolate, malt, roasted coffee beans, and a minor amount of cayenne. Palate is pretty hearty for a sweet stout, thick, creamy and smooth. Overall, a surprisingly good, relaxing sweet stout from a brewer that’s bound to get big quick. They put an awesome label on it too.

Bottle shared by beerpig317. Poured dark brown color with medium tan frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium to heavy roasted chocolate, vanilla and coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a dry smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted dark chocolate, vanilla sweet flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded with a very good stout.

Bottle thanks to Seth. Dark brown pour with a brown head. Lactose and mild chocolate aromas. Caramels, chocolates, lactose, vanilla, and dark roasted malts. Good body. Very good mouthfeel. Slightly strange aftertaste, maybe from the lactose.
