Pours pretty much just, brown with a thin layer of bubbles on top. Aromatics leap out at ya! Herbs and grass- very nice ígreení characters... Lots of fresh hops up front. Really leafy grassy hops with little bitterness. Thereís a nice malt underpinning too- biscuity and persistant but soft. Altogether very approachable beer. I was hoping for a bit more intensity but still very good.

From a 330ml bottle on 1/2/2013. Pours a clear amber with a small head. the aroma is very curious for an amber ale - quite floral and fruity, with just a touch of toasty malt. The flavour is also curiously sweet and fruity, with lots of toffee malt in the background. The bitterness is subdued but works well in combination. A unusual amber which is very enjoyable.

Brown colour. Pours a nice head. Malt flavours are strong. Very enjoyable and would suit most pizzas.

330ml bottle. Big thick tan head made up of tiny bubbles. Dark brown tea colour with aromas of roasted malt. The flavour is enough to keep you coming back for more. Mild on the palate but good overall.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with red tings down the side of the glass. Light beige rocky head. Disappears very quickly leaving only the thinest film. Aromas of floral hops, a little pine resin and nice light caramel. Was expecting a little more hop character but what was there was nicely balanced by the light caramel. Flavours were initially dominated by the malt but are not overly sweet. Some hop bitterness comes through on the finish as does a little nutty grain. Medium mouthfeel. Not too bad.

Bottle 330ml at Mrs Parmaís. Very well-balanced ale. Aromas of caramel, grass, and cola. Taste is sweet and bitter, with good length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Brown, cloudy, with a frothy white head.

Davros (1939) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 6, 2011
Pours deep ruby tinged copper with a lasting head. Nose shows a rich mix of hops and malt. Big piney, resinous, earthy and minty notes from the hops, while the malt adds prominent caramel, nutty and toasty characters. Very nice! Very similar hop profile as flavours, but in the way of malt only the nutty characters continue to stand out. Really needs more caramel to flesh it out. Body feels a little watery.

Bottle, 4C. Clear dark amber, less than a coat of off white head. Modest aroma of caramel, plums, raisins, grass. Taste has firm malt with just caught caramel, hints of fruit, plain chocolate and a drying hop presence at the end that doesnít quite register as bitterness. As cold as itís recommended itís not very sweet at all and the malt flavours are varied and harmonious.
