Bottle from Plonk. Dark mahogany-brown, minimal head, spicy, golden syrup, stewed prunes, yeasty, sweet caramel, syrupy, medium body, slick, sticky texture, soft carbonation, bitter-sweet finish. Very good.

330ml bottle.
Pours a dark brown with almost no head.
Nose is sweet, with some liquorice, raisins, plums, spice, brown sugar and some funk.
Attack is sweet, with some caramel, molasses, raisin and a hint of smoke. This is followed by some spice and some funk, and then the finish is slightly bitter with a hint of coffee and a liqueur like sweetness.
Interesting and really good.

Pours a dark cloudy brown with a small beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, bread, dark fruits and spices. Taste is high sweet leading to a sweet and sticky finish. Decent.

Nice frothy off white mocha head. Clear brown almost black appearance. Aroma is molasses which follows through into the flavor. May be some spices and banana intwind. Very interesting mix. Enjoyable beer but wouldn’t have one after the other.

N ol’ ester aroma of bubblegum, light brown color with thin tan head. On initial taste it is like the flavor swells up on your mouth, lots of random flavors from banana, cola, cloves and the list keeps going. Finish is on the brown sugar side. Excellent stuff

Bottles. I found the chocolate and cloves flavours an interesting mix. The palate was pretty dry.

Bottle. Pours a very oily looking dark brown with mahogany flashes down the side of the glass. Smallish tan coloured head falls away very quickly leaving only the thinest film. Aromas are a little odd. Bubblegum, chocolate, a little roasted grain and a fair whack of alcohol. Dont really think this works to be honest. Flavours of roasted grain, a weird sourness and plenty of alcohol. Thinnish mouthfeel. Dont really get this one.

Not too sure what this is trying to be? I saw it as more of a lighter weight imperial stout with the zinfandel-like fruitcake flavours a core component of the style. Slutty and seductive as the fruitcake and mineral underlay is sweet and pretty, and there’s a touch of chocolate and roast on this finish. Not for the classically trained palate!
