patrick767 (1547), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 16, 2008 tap at the brewpub - Pours lightly hazy yellow with a lingering white head. It has almost no aroma, just a light touch of malt. The flavor is chiefly of bready malts with some slight fruitiness. The hops is barely there. It’s light bodied and drinkable, but rather disappointing.
awaisanen (1189), Irvine, California, USA Feb 20, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Clean, crackery malt aroma with no DMS and a subtle layer of floral hops. Mostly hazy, straw colored pour with a two finger head of dissipating white foam. Light bodied, effercevescent carbonation with a crisp, dry finish. Lightly sweet, crackery malt flavor up front, that builds to an almost bready character mid-palate. As the palate fades, the malt character starts to get a bit cereal-like, and only has a faint touch of floral hop bitterness to help mask it. Pretty clean overall, but under-hopped, which makes it a bit one-dimensional and under-refreshing.
