Ap. pours a bright coppee with a decent film of white for head.
Aro. Sweet caramel like malt, peach, mango frapefruit.
Taste. Hop bitterness, caramel like sweetness, dried tropical fruit, powdered sugar. Finishes piny.
Mouth. Sticky modest carb.
Overall: Tasty fruity double IPA baby!

Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a small frothy off white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a spicy hop and light fruit. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet hop and light toasty malt. Easy to drink a very good IIPA from Karl Strauss.

Tap. Pours a nice golden orange color with a white head. Aroma is quite hoppy with lots of pineapple and tropical fruits, some orange, tangerine and grapefruit. The flavor is just dominated with fruity pineapple and some tropical fruit notes, the orange and tangerine and some peach. The body is medium with a dry mouth feel. Overall a really tasty San Diego style hoppy brew!

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Storm. Pours a clear amber with a yellowish head. Interesting and very spicy hop aroma. Rich body, caramel and fruit but the malt profile is not all too dominant. Again a very spicy hoppiness building up in the finish. Gets quite boozy in the finish. But complex and interesting. 140612

Poured from a tap into a snifter at Churchill’s in San Marcos, Calif., on May 27, 2012. Less than a finger of head on the top of the glass. Color was honey bright orange. Cloudy white lacing with good retention the whole pour.
Got citrus hops in the nose first, mainly orange, tangerine and orange sorbet. Sweet floral notes. Nice flavor, the best part of the beer.
Tasted pretty similar to the nose with some minor differences. Got citrus hops - tangerine, orange and sorbet. A sweet floral taste, too. Also a bit buttery on the tongue.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long lasting, smooth finish.
A pretty good beer overall. Something different. More of a double IPA than a pale ale in my opinion.

On tap at Tap Room in Pacific Beach. Clear dark gold, aroma is strong alcohol and citrus. Flavor is over the top sweet with too much malt base and not the right hop blend. No crisp IIPA finish; just cloying rum cake flavors with no balance. No thank you.
