Tasted on tap at the 11th Bistro Double IPA Festival on 2/12/2011. This Imperial India Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, citrusy and grapefruity hops. A medium to full bodied Imperial India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, orange and citrus. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Despite the lower IBUs in this beer it is very hop forward. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Draft. Amber beer with a nice cream colored head. Big citrus and summer fruit aroma with a light medicinal quality. Citrus and pine flavor with summer fruti and malt. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Summer fruit and citrus lingers with pine and light malt.

On tap in sample glass during the 2011 Bistro DIPA Fest. Pours a dark orangey gold color with a thick light-tan head. Sweaty bready aroma with light citrus notes. Herbal hop blast with toffee and bready malt basis. Solid but doesn’t seem like the massive DIPA it’s billed to be.

Bistro DIPA fest 2011. Pours a orange body with thin lasting white head. Aroma is citrus, orange peel, light earth, toast, light pine, some slight soap. Flavor is grass, herbal, orange peel, citrus, some pine light dank weed. Finish is medium bitter, slight sweet stickiness in the end. Ok.

Bistro’s DIPA fest, Hayward, CA. deeper golden pour. last rating of a long day of drinking IIPA’s in the sun, so writing is a bit tough to decipher.citrusy, grapefruit aroma & flavor, balanced bitterness, light tea, some sweet malts, seemed a tad light for an IIPA. Great flavor

On tap at Bistro DIPA Fest poured a clear amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness and pink grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness and grapefruit with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.
