2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a black color with a small foamy beige head that faded quickly and left no lacing. the aroma was faint with notes of roasty malts, vanilla and cola. The flavor was roasty and toasty wood, vanilla, chocolate and cola. Medium length finish. Light to medium body but undercarbonated. Disappointing.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Medium black/brown pour with a small light brown head. Not much for the aroma. Light coffee and roast, maybe a touch of vanilla. Drinks really easy with a fairly light body. Caramel, roast, chocolate, and vanilla. Not getting almond at all but still a nice beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2014 Was $5.50 for the full pint served at Gulu-Gulu Café in Salem, MA. Pours a ruby-tinted rusty dark brown with which a soapy off-khaki head 1 finger in length stood. Aromas of rice flour, baking chocolate, black peppercorns, and almond milk. Tastes of semi-dark chocolate, burnt hair, California yeast, and cloves. The almond milk gets replaced by skim at swallow. Could have been an interestingly fun idea, but this was kind of lackluster and didn’t really go anywhere special.
