COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Back in Black is our newest year-round beer available now in six pack cans and on draft. Brewed like an American IPA but with the addition of rich, dark malts, this beer has all the flavor and hop character you expect with a smooth, mellow finish.

This was a yummy beer. Appearence was a standard black but strong inticing aroma. The taste was layered almost floral ending but its really just IPA. Kinda dig it.

On tap. Deep brown brew with some tan head. Nose of roast, chocolate, pine, grapefruit. Nice hop bite with a roasted linger.

A solid beer in this style. With toasted malts balanced by fairly strong hops, Back in Black has the refreshing character of an IPA but with the added flavor that comes with the smokey/toasty flavors of the malt. It’s got a crisp finish that’s hoppy but not too much for my taste. Nicely balanced and a good drinker especially when cold.

Pours dark brown with a good 3 fingers of off-white head. Aroma is surprisingly muted for the style, faint citrus hops. Taste is very light chocolate and coffee, with hardly any bitterness. This isn’t a good representation of the black IPA style, although it is a solid brew by its own virtue. Fun can design.

12 oz can. Very dark brown. Little bit of head. Slight hop nose. Hoppy up front, roasty finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can to tulip. Pours a deep black with no visible highlights and a frothy khaki head that left some big clumpy lace. Nose involves plenty of roasted notes, some chocolate, almost some lactose notes like a milk stout, with subdued piney hop notes. Taste is pretty sweet with some bitterness. Fuller bodied, creamy with a touch of bitterness on the end. A pretty good beer, but the hop notes took a backseat to the malt, making it drink more like a stout.

This canned brew from rbsg #48 poured a large sized head of foamy fine to large sized bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a dark brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was dark malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Kind of a dull whack and unwrap orange aroma. Dull chocolate from the malt and a touch of citrusy hops. Pours a deep brown, but definitely not black. Medium/expected head with lacing that won’t go away. Body is very nice. Taste is very....meh? If they’re going for a hoppy/ipa type flavor it’s wayyy underhopped. Tastes sort of like a half brown ale, half stout. Bitterness is all in the middle, not a lot of flavor up front. Domanited by roasted hazelnut flavor and a leathery finish, kind of like when your soup burns in the bottom of the pot but you just eat the stuff on top. It’s not a great IPA, not a great brown ale. I don’t really know what this is supposed to be.

December 20, 2012 can from kierans. Too damn dark in the bar but i think a clear dark reddish brown with nice head and lacing. Citrus hops and roasted malt in aroma. Taste was consistent with aroma.

12oz can. Pours black with medium head. Strong hop aroma. Taste is very hop forward with a ton of simcoe dry hop. Hops linger on the tongue long after the beer is done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
